This year along with my 420 grow, I will be doing a poppy garden as well. I was starting to include it in my grow journal but I'm not sure if I will continue too cause it's not 420. Anyway, I am going to create several poppy patches throughout my designated area where best suited possible. You can follow my grow journal in my signature for more info, follow my youtube videos and this post as well as I will be updating frequently here.
Tomorrow I am going back out to my designated area to create several more setups. I will provide pictures and possibly a video. I plan on creating bouquets for sale for decorative purposes only ;) As of right now I have 3 small 4x4 plots of poppy seeds awaiting to germinate.

Interesting, I will follow for sure, I got 2 bottles of unused poppy seed one is Papaver Somniferum and the other is the Peshawar variety, I might eventually grow them if I learn enough to do it.
It is pretty easy. They do take a little time to germinate though. They tend to prefer little to almost no nutrients. Hit them with freezing cold or near freezing cold overnight which makes germination easier, simply by putting them in an airtight ziplock bag and throw them in the cooler. Make sure the soil stays nice and moist but not soggy until after they germinate. That's a start for you :p

Sounds interesting, I look forward to your pictures. How long have you been growing them? I have a small poppy patch beside my house and they seem to be doing well. It's my first time trying to grow poppies and I pretty much just let them do their thing with the exception of two feedings with half strength jacks classic. Maybe i could learn something here.

I've grown them a couple years back, they are a hardy plant that needs no attention other than watering. I was thinking of doing another round. I kept a 1/2 dozen nice pods. Treat the area for slugs and you are golden, oh yeah I did mine in full sun.

Took some pictures today only of a new patch I started. I want to create a large field to sow poppy seeds on but I am limited in the area I'm in due to trees, tree roots, terrain, flooding etc. So I created a 4th small patch today and made a video on it with this Samsung Galaxy S4 I received for free because I had to return my iPhone 5. Here are some pics and a video. Enjoy.

Hello people! Here is a little update of the ever soo slow growing poppies!
I only took 2 pictures because I only went back there for a few minutes and didn't get to check all of my sites. One of the sites are flooding with poppies, I will probably have to thin them out a little. I'll provide better quality photos tomorrow when I go back out.

Like Olive said. Be very fucking careful Health wise and legally. I' myself grow them along with other medical plants to cut ties to pharmaceuticals. Pills now days are more poison then they are help.
Anyways don't abuse these kind of plants. They work when you really need them. They are very beautiful at the same time can be deadly. Learn from them, have fun growing them, DON'T ABUSE THEM!! And be safe. Lecture over.lmao
