Citizen 1212 3500k 90 cri hlg185c1400b 100kohm pot 90 degree reflectors, I am getting a reading of 150 with my meter at 12" it's a sun system with the remote sensor. Is this normal at about 6-8 inches and a little closer it reads 7-900. Is this normal. Do you just keep these lights close to keep up intensity?

Well I unhooked the dimmer and made little difference we were measuring from wrong spot last night reading about 215 or so at 12" what am I doing wrong?

These drivers come from some where else should I swap out and check with one of yours. If there is a line out on one of the chips will that affect the others output as well?

what do you mean by "line out" on one of the chips ? like is there a string of diodes within a certain cob that is not lighting up but most of the cob is?or are you talking about a wire going to one of the cobs ?

First part of what you said there is a line out close to the edge that is out but the rest of the cob is working

143 volts 1400ma 4 cobs
@CobKits do the citizens draw 36v @ 1400ma ? if these do like i think they do your over the limit on that driver and it goes into some type of safe mode limiting the output.your par numbers at 12 inches should be at least 600ppfd,i get 700 or more with softer driven cobs.my 35w cree (1050ma) are 600ppfd around 12 to 16 inches away.im sure those citi should be right there as well.maybe an older par meter is not reading the leds correctly.its not the same as reading a hps lamp, but the newer par meters are adjusted for leds as well as hid lights.

Meter is good for led reads other led lights just fine. Yeah it's like the driver is in limp mode if I get a watt meter and plug it into wall and it's not drawing 200 + watts at full bore than it's in limp mode

this has always been my complaint with citi and vero, being just a tad higher on current use then cree gives us alot less driver options.so these guys will tell ya wire in parallel to combat this issue.you would need a hlg 240-1400ma to run them full power.and that driver will still only run 4 cobs in series.

if its mine and it has a string out pull it ill swap it. its hard to see that without a dedicated power supply, i cant look at a cob if its over 100 mA

as far as your voltage your cobs should be right at 35.5-36V at 1400 mA depending on temp. if it is limiting it its only by a few percent.

need to check all your connections with a meter
