Parralel wiring what's the reality?

Yeah your right no clue. I like the look of these 600w meanwell drivers

Hlg-600h but am I right in thinking all of these drivers would require parallel wiring?

The hlg-600h says it's constant current or constant voltage but doesn't explain it. Anyone know if they can be used as constant current?

Should run 6 vero 29c 69v versions on each driver but it doesn't state how many ma it runs the cobs at under constant current it just says 11amp which I assume is for constant voltsge

Hi @George2324
The Hlg-600-54b will not power a single Vero 29c because this LED driver can only output a voltage between 27Vdc to 54Vdc. The Vero29c needs about 64.4 VDC at 400mA to make photons.
Four parallel wired Vero29B will get about 2500mA @ 54Vdc and 135 Watts Per COB / 540 Watts per driver. Eleven parallel Vero29B would run at about 1000mA @ 50Vdc at 50 Watts per COB / 550 Watts per driver.

That driver is supposed to be constant current aswell and provide 431 vdc
As you can see on this picture it states the vdc on the stats so you can get 431 vdc if you use it in series but not sure what current would be

George - that 431 vdc you mentioned is the maximum INPUT voltage. The LEDs will only see the driver output voltage channel 1.

Doesn't make sense as it says DC input Voltage would be AC and i thought dc voltage was the output. In what situation would dc be input

Input voltage could be VDC when powered by 13 series connected 12vdc car batteries or directly by solar panels on top of the shipping container in you back yard.

It says it's a constant current driver. And a constant voltage it must be able to be used somehow?
The driver's constant voltage claim relates to it's maximum output voltage = 54V. Will never go above 54Vdc, so if your COBs can live safely with up to 56Vdc, then this driver can never drive them with too much power.

Edit
I can add enough Vero29b to make the output channel 1 voltage drop below 54Vdc. Now the driver is in Constant Current Mode, and the driver will divide up the 11.2 Amp output equally between the parallel wired COBs. I add more COBs -> output volts decrease but current stays the same.

Ah right understand now. Thanks for that. Don't suppose anyone knows of any 600w drivers that can run vero 29 c?
