PC Grow: 1 x Auto Blue Mystic - ScrOG / 250W CFL

Jut checked in, outstanding bro. Fabulous first grow in a pc. A few thoughts for you. First I am suggesting your final weight will weigh in at or around the half ounce mark (you loose aprox 2/3 of weight from wet to dry) I think that the reason you did not pull more is due to the height on your plant. This could have been due to the genes on your mystic seed, however I tend to think its more likely a result of the light you are using. Since its 250 watts in such a small area it may have babied your girl to much. She did not need to stretch when growing and stayed short. Without the stretch it limited the bud sites on your girl actually producing less bud. Having said that though, it did have a positive impact on the bud sites that did grow, giving you some nice mid sized colas. If you continue to pull half ounce off your plants (and nothing wrong with that) then consider swapping out the 250 watt for a little less and force your girl to grow taller. Giving it an extra week/ or a higher height on your scrog screen may also increase your yield.

Sit back and enjoy your fabulous bud dude, outstanding grow and journal. What a way to stick with it. High times my friend. :)

Thank you guys! Well... there won't be much activity in this thread now.
But don't worry! Decided to start up a new journal for Low Girl Auto. It's a good way to keep track of things and I've made some good buddies here :)
I hope to see you all in the new journal! You'll find it here in Stealth growing.

As I said - some final words, what to do/not to do and such will come on the final post.

Could the shortness of the plant be at all attributed to your light schedule?

Would it be wise to try 12/12 like a regular strain to give her more time to stretch during light-out?

Save on power, too.

Yeah, I thought on that to but instead I will, after my Low Girl PC grow, do a "perpetual" grow with 2 or 3 Auto Blue Mystics in 0.3 gallons Air Pot. Plant 1 wait 20 days plant the second and then wait 20 more days and plant the third and then wait 20 more days and harvest the first and plant a new one (based on a 60 days from seed to harvest schedule). Hopefully I'll work out a system :)

Electronug, society, autos will not respond well in 12/12 lighting. I get the idea however, the ruderellis gene in an auto prevents this from being beneficial. Infact what ends up happening is stunted growth on the plant itself as well as buds that form without going into full flower. Minimum light schedule of 18/6 is needed. You can play around with light schedules of 18/6, 20/4, and 24/0. Actually because the size was under 10" it reminds me very much of a 12/12 schedule. However you did get great bud formation. Your 250 watt bulb, is that over all rating? I.e 24 w cfl bulb will equal 90 w overall. I am guessing the same is true on your 250 w which means she was being hit with over 750 w in 20" of space. No need to stretch to the light with that much power.

Yeah, that's "real" wattages. It has got a lumen output of something between 14.000 and 18.000 if I remember correctly. :)

Electronug, you will do great with it. I have seen your thread, and your girls are healthy and happy. Their are no other differences in growing between the two other then light schedule and lack of cloning. Feminized I am assuming, she will start to show you flowers around twenty days - some take up to thirty, but most are in round twenty. The great thing is the ability for you to grow along side your veging regulars. Good luck with your next project. Peace :)

Well man...... I have to say this was an epic PC grow!!! The quality of bud you got out of here really doesnt get any better. This harvest will also teach you alot about drying and curing. Just figured I would stop in and say what a GREAT job you did man. Can't wait for another one. Keep it up. STAY HIGH!!! REP

That was amazing. I hope my plants will end up like yours. Can you see any purple in the bud? Because I couldn't see any when you had it on the scale. Also how was the odor with the ona? And how do you think it would be without?

Well, hard to say what the real dry weight is/was since I've been smoking it for the past week but I would guess somewhere near 15 grams (+/- 2 grams). I'm really sure I didn't got under 13 grams. I definitely could have waited some more days before the harvest and I definitely could have done a better job with the drying and curing, but I was to impatience. I'm kinda glad that I did took her down to early and did this half crappy drying/curing for now I know how important these steps are for future harvests. If I wouldn't have done this, I'd probably would have harvest my Northern Lights grow to early.

Anyway, first I gave the buds a slight and easy trim before I hung them up in a closet for drying. They weren't the biggest buds so after three days they felt crispy enough so I started the cure. And once I've started to cure I started to smoke this on a daily basis. At first the smoke was sticky, harsh and not tasteful at all (but still very potent) but after just 1 day of curing the taste had increased noticable. And it's just being better and better for each day. I already smoke like... half of it.

Can't complain at all at the potency. A very clear uplifting head-high. Probably a mixture of the sativa genetics in the strain and the early harvest. I like it, and I will definitely grow it again.

From seed to harvest: 56 days
Wet weight: 61.6 grams
Dry weight: 15 grams (+/- 2 grams)

Potency: 7/10
Smell (growing): 0/10 veg and 1/10 bloom
Smell (dry bud): 5/10
Type of high: Up-lifting, head high, a typical "fly"

THIS JOURNAL IS NOW OVER!

Have to say that is a beautiful harvest. Would have loved to see it go for another couple weeks but I certainly understand impatience.

Just started my PC case (currently just being used to veg new babies before they get transported into bigger pots for the real vegging) and am definitely going to build a nice scrog in there. All I need is the "pot"

Gonna sub your next PC grow, awesome job mate!
