hoping to get an idea of what your pc grow box temp is.

1 - pc dimension
2 - # of cfl lights
3 - # of fans exhaust / intake fans / passive intake etc.
4 - room temp
- inside of PC temp / humidity

------

hoping to get my temp down and humidity up.

my set up:

1 - mr grow pro pc (roughly 26"H/18"D/8"W)
2 - runnning 4 cfl
3 - modified case: 2 exhaust / 2 passive (1 covered with filter) / 1 circulation
- fans cfm roughly 30 each
4 - room temp at 77-79 degrees
- LIGHTS ON / case closed
- temp: 93 / humidity:16
- LIGHTS ON / case cracked open
- temp: 83-84 / humidity: 32

LIGHTS OFF
- temp: 77-79 / humidity: 49 <<< wish i was at this temps with lights on.. but im not.

----

waiting for new fans to arrive -- higher cfms (hopefully it gets my temps lower while door is closed.

higher cfm's will help for sure,, and you might look into lowering the room temp also. You could also run 3 bulbs instead of 4. What does the builder recommend, and is it a hydro box????? Your humidity swings wildly. My case through the last 24 hrs has had......
humidity....low 39% high 51%
temp......low 79 high 88
room temp avg. was probably 76,,,,just guessing though.
This is with 3x79 cfms fans,,,,1 intake, 2 exhaust, and 4x23w cfl bulbs running 24/7 with 2 auto's riding shotgun and they are doing very well imo (9 days old). If your passive intake is an un-used fan opening, use it for a 3rd exhaust, no need to push in more hot air. I know my temps are high, but it is what it is......and it's growing pot

thanks for the reply dkm.

my room temp is at 77-79 (ac off -- ac on = 64)
running soil.

would 3 23w bubls be good for 2 plants? -- im just trying to maximize lumens/watts in pc.

i usually keep the case cracked open (AC OFF)
average lights on temp: 83-84 / humidity: 32-33
average lights off temp: 78-79 / humidity 48-49

-----

2 exhaust are at the top left / 2 passive are bottom right ) / 1 circulation blowing at the lights towards the exhaust.

heat rises -- but do you think that turning 1 passive to another exhaust = cooler temp?
- leaving me with no air circulation inside pc (its cracked open anyways)

-----

NEW SET UP (once the fan arrives)
3 exhaust fans (40 cfm each)
1 intake fan (30 cfm) / 1 passive
2 circulation (30 cfm each)

hope this gets my temps down and lets me close my pc case.

you have a journal i can check out?

You'll just have too see what happens when you get your new fan. I was thinking a passive intake was just an opening,,,my bad. You definately need an intake fan, so 3 exhausts and no intake would be a no. You'll want the 4 bulbs for 2 plants. Mine really are thriving, even with my higher than optimal temps. Someone who knows what they are doing will be along soon to give you some solid advice, great website! No journals for me bro,,,,really suprised I even post.

1. My PC dimensions are something like 21 Height x 8 Width x 17 Long
2. 4 CFL lights
3. 4 exhaust, 1 intake.
4. Room temp hovers around 70-72F
5. Inside PC temp hovers around 77-80F and humidity aroun 50% with a cup of water in there.

The crazy thing about my PC box is that I had a 6" fan in there blowing on the plant, this did make a thick stock but made my temps about 5 degrees hotter than with the fan out of the box...remember too much air flow can also be bad.

thanks for the reply gravy.

actually got my temps situated -- we are pretty much running the same temps.

room temp about 77-79
box about 82 -86 humidity around 44%

pretty happy with the 5-7 degrees difference between the temps.

--

just ordered some new (bigger) pc fans -- hoping to get the case to a lower temp.

Very nice, remember you want more outtake fans than intake, this will help with temps. Also, I can send you a link to this seller on amazon that sells cut to size carbon filters that you can use with the PC fans, and I got about 6 feet of it for $1.50.

yessir. got that outtake/intake covered.

im basically just switching to bigger fans = higher cfm for outtake.

and would you mind sending me the link for the fcarbon filters?

6 feet for $1.50 sounds like a deal.

thanks!
