I fit my perception to the world around me. It's pretty damn good where I live. Other than the homeless heroin addicts. And the shitty roads.
The world around you has seen a reduction of tax rates and US consensus/collectivism over time to accomodate for the wealthiest/greediest voices and resulting in the gutting of public goods and services that once made the middle class a reality or a hope for nearly all Americans.

I do, every day. Life is good. Then I come on here and see all these deadbeats crying about how bad they all have it. Most of them try to blame it all on someone else. If they put forth the same effort working as they do crying they might actually do better.

I meant keep considering the many factors that contribute to your contentment beside your own choices.

What makes you think people can't both work full time and find time to criticize (bitch about) real problems? Wouldn't solving political issues help just as much as anything else they could do?
