PG&E discounts for patients???

Guys in my hydro store say you can apply to PG&E for a reduction in power costs due to medical necessity, aka growing your own medicine. They said it reduces cost from 44 cents per kilowatt down to 11. I'm running a fan cooled 1000w metal hallide (just switched to HPS for flowering this weekend.) Also run a small heater to keep the room warmer (turning the fan off makes it too hot and burns foliage.)

Went online and saw the app, but it was more focused on people on life support or that have to maintain a specific temperature for their illness. I'd sure like to do this is possible. Anyone else do this? Any advice on how to work with the application or is there somewhere else I should be looking. Thanks!

most of those problems are federally funded, applying to them is begging to be busted. BEGGING.

Apply for a "time of use meter", get your lights on 6pm-6am, it will cut your PGE bill in half.
