PH is an estimate with the drops and a slurry test.
I have two soils. New ffof with a PH somewhere close to 6, and my used ffof that has been amended and has a PH closer to 7.
Slurry tests shown below from 2 different ffof and two of my amended soil..
I had a plant just chopped in a 10" clay pot of ffof with a ph of about 6, and I am going to Put it in a 3 gallon container surrounded by my amended soil that has a ph of about 7.
I will do the same with a 10" clay pot of my amended soil ph 7, and surround it with new ffof with a PH of 6.
In both cases I will cut out a small section of soil to put a seedling in that was in a starter pot.
Any thoughts or info on someone doing it?
