PH trouble

I thought I would try hempy this year, the hempy bucket is perlite with a 1 to a 2 inch soil cap on it. I am using GH fora nova ,tap water and white vinegar for ph down. I can put the feeding in at 5.0 ph and the next day the run off ph will be at 8.2 ph. So what can I do, maybe lower the ph to 4.0 and feed?

hempys are hydro. should have left the soil out. probably what is messing you up.

get yourself some hydro pH up/down, not vinegar. feed at 5.5 to 6.1 pH.

i don't measure the runoff from my hempys. i feed once daily.

Don't worry about the runoff as my buddy Rocky says just pH around 5.8 and you should do fine. I capped my coco/growstone hempys with compost and worm castings, Big mistake! If it is still early I would scrape as much as you can off, If you need to hold down the perlite use something inert.
