Is it saying they acquired an LP or an LOI in order to do this?
Or they just acquired the option to acquire an MMAR grow facility?

I think the bullshit is saying that they bought an MMAR grow op and plan on submitting an LP application....yawn...

I wish it wasn't so obvious that the guys with money were going through the process faster..

This is the outfit that Med-Man got hired on with, a subsidiary of a mining company called Supreme Resources....plans for two big greenhouse facilities, one in Southern Ontario and one in the Okanagan. They have been touting that they are "pre-approved" for a couple of months now, although that says pretty much zero. Every applicant can say they are in the 'pre-approval stage', just a way to try and fool the investors that don't really know what applicants are facing.

From what I understand, they bought into ammcan in Ontario. www.ammcan.com. They have a 7 acre greenhouse, and a letter of intent to build/upgrade their facility to meet the requirements of HC. Med Man is involved with Ammcan, no LP license yet, just approval to build.

I'm not knocking med-man. I've met him and like the guy, and he has tons of energy, contacts, and different businesses going. I am surprised that he hung his hat with this group though. I assume it's because of details that we are not privy to.

Weird that he isn't at this site.

I am also surprised he is not on this site, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing....he's a polarizing figure and has a tendency to use the icmag forums as his personal promotion/advertising page, which can get old. Half the of the posters there are either sucking up to Med-man or hating on him, and I can't be bothered to read that crap. I don't know the guy at all, and don't have an opinion either way, although I have a very different approach to things than he does.

They're still using the 40K licenses number like is some holy grail of a number that will propel them to cannabis riches. I can't see this market working in the long term hell even for two years. There's a reason that so money of those 40K license holders wanted a PL license. One you can't beat growing an LB of weed for $300. Two it was an easy protection to grow and sell. These are not the people who will buy your weed.

Now here's another silly thing. You can have cheap medicine $2/gr or you have have expensive medicine $12/gr. How the hell is that work or how can you sit there with a straight face and tell people if you are poor you can have this $2/g shemg, if you are rich you can have this better $12/g shmeg.

I was wondering this as well. They are not dicking around with the background checks, and I assume you need to be pretty much spotless to get through.

off topic, but not really worthy of a new thread. Other than here and icmag, are there any other relevant forums?

The larger "pharma" don't care about medical uses. It's strictly about the legalization and rec use of cannabis. Or the exportation to global rec users. Medical use is just their way of getting their foot in the door.

I've found these 2 to be by far the best sources of Canadian info. There is Cannabis Culture, but there isn't a whole lot of Canadian/MMPR discussion there. GrassCity is another site that I used a lot as a grower, but not a lot in the way of Canadian content. Some good info and discussion can be found on this Reddit page:

Yah I used Grasscity for years buy mostly for grow journals, I used ICmag quite a bit few years ago until they accused me of having two accounts (Me and a buddy were posting from his computer as I was helping him and we had a 24/7 live webcam in the grow room). Went back to Icmag but then realized there was a Canadian forum here (didn't see it before on my old account) and so far its been much better discussions on here.
