Thanks ya i was considering 2 of them in a 4x6 ??
2 315's on a 4x6 ft table works well but u need to keep them 3ft above canopy u should get 1.4 gpw easy.. at 2 ft above canopy the lights only cover a 3x3,, but at 3ft above they can cover a 4x3ft area without losing to much bud weight... i seen the greenbeams claim that the reflector will cover a 4ftx4ft area but im skepticle...

Me too I may add some more lights to help thanks for the input. I do have the height to go up if need be. That was part of my cmh over led decision.
i run w 2 315's inline over the center of my 4x6 table then i put a 100 watt go green citizen on the right and left sides of the cmh's in the middle... i was getting smaller buds on my outside rows,,now w/ the led's its all pretty uniform.. i try to keep the led and the cmh at the same height above,, i start flower at 3ft above then after week 3- finish i go 2-2.5ft above canopy

What about heat? Somewhere in between led and hps?

I can chime in here. My Sun Systems 315 LEC open reflector with a fan blowing in between the lamp and canopy is always 1-2 degrees farenheight lower than my 600w Blockbuster air cooled glass sealed reflector in the same room.

And I agree with the assertion that the 315 is equal to about 450 watts compared to the 600w hortilux Super HPS I use.

But the footprint for 1 alone is 3x3 max. I have been happy with height 16-18" over the buds which limits the footprint to a bit less. Maybe 2.5'x2.5' square. But with equal density and yield to the 600 pretty much.

And the quality in potency appearance and flavor/smell was obvious even after I finished the first plant under it for 10 days.

So I tend to ripen buds under it now. Not ready to ditch the hps for more of them yet though. I think I really would like 1 of each over the 4x6 table mentioned here.

I am really high. I wake and baked on some g-13/Skunk. Sorry for the long babbling post but hope it helps. :-)

Sure thanks for the input. Appreciate that.

Here ya go @Crossface Crippler (is that a wrestling move?)

There are not enough pics in this thread. Also check out the Club 315 thread. We have all been posting there for a while. I have since I bought the 315 last November.

For a while I ran a Phillips 315 Cmh 3100k. A Hortilux 600w Super HPS and a Hortilux 600w Blue Metal Halide.

The 315 added to the room really brings out more color than with HPS alone. And resin. Got a little UV now from it.

1000 watts of cmh will blow the doors off hps all day every day.
That's the bottom line. It does everything better. From the light bill to the weight.

Lucas formula is the use of gh micro and bloom at ratios of 6ml micro/9ml bloom, to 1 gallon of water. For soiless mixes. For soil mixes its 8ml micro/16ml bloom.

You can also use maxibloom dry nutrient. I forget exactly how much but its a couple grams, or so, of maxibloom per gallon of water.
