So I bought some white widow a while back and i've had them in veg for around 3 months and started flower 30 days ago, so 3 month veg 30 day flower

My problem is that my plants look nothing like anyone elses! Which makes me wonder if it's even white widow.. Or if something is screwing up...

Sorry that some pictures are way out of focus, I don't have a great camera.. Also how much do you think my yield will be? They're around 4ft tall

Thanks

Thanks for the comment, 4 oz per plant would be perfect, 2 oz per plant will be okay, i'm using 3 dual spectrum 300 watt cfls :) was using 4 lights but accidently broke one of the bulbs :( Too tight to buy a new one..

Looks like a good healthy plant to me. Nice foliage. What ever you've been doing keep doing it. It's only been flowering for 30 days. In another 30 to 45 days it ought to be awesome.

^ Cheers I didn't realise, I just stopped using nutes today because I don't want to risk it being all nasty and chemically

plants look normal to me another 30-40 days of flowering and you'll be tokin some fine herb in my 30 yrs of growing I've noticed that the same strains grown by different growers will look different also seed grown strains will often be different than clones and seeds of the same strain can also be different from each other how different depends on how stable the particular strain is white widow seeds from greenhouse seeds are extremely stable with only two slightly different phenotypes from 12 seeds - 10 were females too! your plants look very similar to white widow but as I said the same plant can LOOK very different depending on who is growing it and where and how it is being grown/fed etc white widow loves food during flower lots of low or 0% nitrogen bat guano- 1/2 cup per plant every 2 wks in an organic soilless system
good luck

Sp32,

Don't stop feeding them, you've still got 4 to 6 weeks (maybe more) to go. I feed mine right up to a week to 10 days before harvest.

And what ever and how ever you've been feeding and watering them keep doing it just like you've been. I think that's some excellent healthy looking foliage you've got going.

I was initially going to say that 90 days of veg seemed a little long but, hell man, if you can accommodate their final height I think that will have really worked towards increasing your final yield.

I'm flowering a crop I vegged for 42 days before switching it to 12/12 and am seriously considering vegging the next one as much as 60 days before forcing.

You're doing good work. Keep it up.

I thought everyones plants might look different even though they are the same strain @ Mad, cheers :)

@ Jack, I was told to stop using nutes 2 weeks before flower and flower is usually 6 weeks.. Seems like everyone here is saying that's wrong, I am just scared that they will end up tasting nasty, next time I water is monday, I normally water with nutes, then the next week no nutes then the next week nutes.. Is this correct or do some people do nutes every week? Also if there is probably 30 days before harvest should I do:

Monday - Nutes
Next monday - No Nutes
Monday after - Nutes
Monday before last - Flush the plants with lots of water
Last monday - harvest

Sp32,

There's just so many different factors involved that I really can't give you specifics on your fertilizer program.

But based on the pictures you posted at the start of this thread I can tell you that what ever you've been doing, you've been doing pretty dam good. That's some really healthy foliage you've got going. I didn't see any indication of over or under fertilizing, no leaf curl, no sign of over or under watering, no insect damage, etc. In other words just keep doing what you have been.

These flowering times you hear every one mentioned are just guidelines and in my opinion are based mostly on optimal growing conditions (which very few of us manage to achieve). The strain I'm growing (Allegria) supposedly has a flowering time of 60 to 70 days but I usually end up taking some where between 80 and 90 days with it.

Also it's my opinion that all this concern people seem to have with nutes making weed taste nasty is blown way out of proportion. I think having your weed taste good has far more to do with harvesting it at the optimal time and then drying (slowly) and curing it correctly. I've given plants nutrients with in a week of harvest in the past and didn't notice any adverse effects to the taste.

I keep feeding mine right up until I think I'm a week to 10 days out from harvest. And figuring out when that is, is pretty much a guessing game based on several factors. Then in that last week I try to give them one or two good flushes with straight water.

I have no set day of the week when I water or feed. I do it when the conditions indicate I need to. I've got multiple plants in some different sized containers and they don't all get the same thing at the same time. I've got each plant numbered and keep a chart of who gets what and when.

I'm not saying you necessarily need to do this but you should keep some kind of journal of what you give them (and when) so that you can look back at it and use it to help make decisions on how you're going to do things on future grows.

O.K. I'm stoned and babbling.

Jack out.

Thanks bro, I've actually got a journal which i've logged everything in, when i've put into flower what nutes i've given and when :D

Great advice thanks a lot :)
