This is my first grow, i got some seeds from out of some kush my homeboy was growing. The plants are about 3 weeks old from seed. for the first two weeks i had them under 4 23 watt cfls but last week i added 5 more so now i have 9 23watt cfl. I have 2 plants thats in party cups, 1 plant thats in a small pot and another 1 plant thats in a bigger pot. Im planning on keeping then in there same pots threw the whole grow. I want to yield at least 2oz in all. I've been looking at other people grows online and their plants look much bigger than mine on their 3rd week.Aslo one of my party cups leaves is turning orange but i don't know why.

I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong, or if I'm doing good. Can someone please give me some advise and let me know if I'm in the right path. Also I'm leaving for a couple weeks Feb16 and i wanted to yield by then before i leave. Is that possible ?

I haven't gave them any nutrients yet and the soil is a cheap soil. it says all purpose soil. i was told i didn't have to have a certain type of soil

is there any way you can invest like 10-15$ in POTS ? if you really are going to try to finish the plants in those "things" you're wasting your time man
and stay away from clear containers and foil . good luck :eyesmoke:

Flowering usually takes between 6-9 weeks and then you have drying and curing which is another few weeks. You only have about five weeks until you are supposed to leave so even if you started flowering today I don't think you would meet your deadline. Good luck with your grow man

I would get them in a a different soil if possible...they look stunted....And I agree with above poster, I don't see how these will be finished by your deadline. And yes, lose the foil...

Also, what are your temps in there ?

Im going to by different pot and a thermometer tomorrow but I'm only leaving for a weak and a half. I have someone who can take care of them while I'm gone. And if I place them all in bigger pots, will the 9 cfls still be enough ?

You got to get you CFL's close within an inch or two, and there is a break even pint with cfl's 9 x 23w = 207w,.... I just know I'd be hanging my babes under a 250w Mh/hps light, or better 400w,.. that would blow you away ....lol

Man that soil is hot...you should have grabbed something peat based like a starter mix with low nutes or Promix which contains NO NUTES. I would re pot them as mentioned since they look pretty bad.

Signs of nute burn. Flush the soil!!! that should wash out any nutes within the soil. I hope that soil doesn't have those micro beeds that slowly release ferts over time. That's a bitch to fix

well if they survive the more lights added the better...for two plants personally I would go with more than 9 bulbs...I would think 9 bulbs for one plant might work...
