I have two french mastiffs. I've had other breeds that drool way more. It's really not that bad. I mean it can get pretty messy right after they drink but not bad overall.
Like a Rott. Many meaty mouth breeds! I can see the sign now! (Don't Drink and Drool!)

I hear the Neo's are bad.

Elegant. What a sweetie! How's she working out? Let me guess: you got her for your wife's present and you are now her human. cats are like that.
I have a thing where all animals like me better than anyone around, lol. Kinda weird but always been a thing. She's awesome. Much more cuddly than I expected. :)

Yes they are, my wife's cat passed away from old age. She took it really hard. 3 days later she brought home a kitty she rescued. The kitten was stuck in a car motor area in a parking lot across the street from where she works. One of her co-workers told her about it. She was so happy, she said this is the one. That was 4 years ago. The cat hasn't had anything to do with her since she brought it home. It took to me and never looked back. The wife resents it and keeps saying she is going to bring another cat home that loves her. I keep telling her it won't work...lol

What kind of bird? I had a parrot once but didn't connect well but I like birds.
I have a green-cheeked conure named Spudnik- I thought it was a male for years until she laid an egg one evening. I've had her for about 17 years, she's a real sweetheart. We also have a cranky 35 year-old Red-Lored Amazon parrot named Rocky that we've had for 30 years- he's a mama's boy and doesn't like men.

How long did it take to get the cat and dog to get along so well? My roommate had a pitty like yours and I have a tabby. Took about a month for them to tolerate each other but I didn't have the same success you have there.
Right away. Introduced Mongo to the cats as a puppy. The cats made sure to let the puppy know who the boss is. Mongo would not hurt a fly, unless someone in the family said the 2 words. Its kind of ironic because the 2 words have to do with cats. Mongo and our cats and most cats in the neighborhood are best friends.

I think one of my parrots was an Amazon Green? It was 1973 so memory is hazy.

Mom gave my Dad a Yellow front (I think) for his birthday one year & we had him forever.
The bird was a tweaker though, completely unhinged - would only let my Dad even near him & we had to re-home him to a rescue center after Dad passed.
Only to find out that "He" was a She and once she got used to being with other birds became somewhat normal.
Don't know how old She was when we got her, but she was with our family for 46 years.
