Ended up tossing the 4 smaller plants I had off to the side. If anyone was wondering the bent little mutant just corrected itself and grew normal but he was a boy so i trashed him.

the plant I put in the jameson bottle is growing well and the roots have almost hit the bottom of the bottle :)

My fatass dog figured since the rest of the house was cold shed curl up under my lamp and knocked over one of my pots -_-..... annoying to say the least but not the end of the world.
Watered these guys, they dry out much faster because this lamp runs a lot hotter than the other.
Ill call this

Almost finished up this shatter, last batch wasnt huge but its some nice product.20161122_192501.jpg 20161122_192519.jpg

My Jameson bottle female is starting to look a lot healthier and the roots are now hitting the bottom of the bottle :D removed lower 2 bud sites to concentrate floral development up top
I think itll be interesting to see how she looks at harvest, im just doing this for shits and giggles since I had a female that was weak but not so weak that I wanted to trash her after the initial cull.

Day 36
Watering with maxibloom again later today.
20161124_070212.jpg 20161124_070304.jpg

Day 3 (group 2)
still on 12/12 till they get past the weak ass seedling stage.

20161124_070000.jpg

I also breed bettas and this guy is a few weeks old 1/300 or so that survived, he lives on top of my MH lamp and I believe he has a genetic cold tolerance because he was the only one out of his spawn to survive a heater failure and living in an unheated mini tank for weeks on end in the middle of winter! Hes such a savage I started letting him live on the lamp so hed grow faster and I plant to use it for breeding (most likely a backcross) a more cold tolerant line of fighters for the U.S.

went through and individually inspected each plant, made not of size and color then labeled them. Its getting down to the wire and I need to hurry and make a decision on who I want to feminize before my window of opportunity passes but they just aren't showing me the traits I need to see to select properly yet :/
will have to decide very very soon though so stay tuned! :)

DAY 37
20161125_081844.jpg
20161125_081905.jpg 20161125_081856.jpg 20161125_081917.jpg

I dont think ive ever really given too much insight into my selection process beyond the goals I aim to achieve. So in order to clarify, what I saw going through these gals today was a nice mix of dark purple, light purple and green plants if color was my only goal I could make some pretty educated decisions at this point but since my main goals for this group are finding individuals that display 1.above average trichome development and coverage 2.superior bud structure 3. purple color I cant really see too much of those qualities yet. Some individuals are flowering much faster and forming buds while others are just putting out a few pistils here and there but no one has started producing true capitate trichomes and only a few have the little pre trichome hairs so far so I have to be patient. the really frosty girls in my lines almost always make themselves known days ahead of the others and continue the high rate of trich production all the way up till chop.

another note on color, since I maintain multiple lines of Pinkie Pie and always use multiple parents per generation to maintain genetic diversity ( I hope to one day in 50ish years or so make Pinkie the U.S's first true landrace auto cannabis cultivar.) I can maintain lines of 1 solid color or another and not have to worry about losing those genes by culling too hard since I know they are maintained in the other lines.

Day 42
(my own self imposed deadline on selection and application of CS to selected individuals.)
Cleaned up the lower half of the canopy and began application of CS on 11/29 to 3 select individuals among the population.
Marked the branches I sprayed and will continue spraying twice a day (morning and night) until I can harvest pollen from them.

I also have a backup male I have been growing from this same group of F7A Line plants, he has pink buds and very nice veg structure, he will be used to pollinate any plants that develop qualities worth keeping in the next few weeks for regular F8 seeds.

Watered and fed lightly with maxibloom. [this is the point in the grow where some pots dry much faster than others and I need to be extra vigilante to ensure no one dries out or gets nuked.

These are my selections, 20161129_085441.jpg20161129_084235.jpg 20161129_084641.jpg

I chose about 9 inititally, seperated from the group, inspected them really closely, whittled it down to 7, documented them and tagged them, more inspection and I finally whittled it down to 3 superior individuals that I began to spray with CS. The others I will keep an eye on and pollinate with my pink boy as long as they develop the way I believe they will.

I will be posting a more in depth log on the individuals in my other thread (pinkie pie F8 selections)

Been hard at work on Pinkie Pie these past few months, lifes been busy so i havent been on top of my log but I will keep it updated from now on.
I grew out about 3 of each of 8 popular strains and made crosses of my Aline to each one of them and will be growing out progeny from my studs pretty soon for development of new lines.
Pinkie Pie A line, B line and G2B line are now at the F5 and I have just pollinated all F5 females of my PPBC2, A1, A3, B1, B3 with pollen from A select F5 B line male So F6 seeds will be drying and curing in about a months time, but in the mean time I plan to run at least 100 more females from my F5 population before preceding as I feel very close to my goal and seem to be producing very predictable and uniform results now.
ive attached a pic of my closet and females (1 gallon pots)
some shots of a B line female with spider mites
and a younger B line for comparison shell be ready in about 40 days or soView attachment 3325470

Always a treat when the "one" pops, hope that goes well for you, she looks awesome for how early she's into flowering.

RE: F8's yeah wish we were truly legal over here so I could run female pheno hunts outdoor through summer. Would take a year or two off strain development! Cheers.
