Plant and forget it

So I am thinking about doing an outdoor grow this next season and I am really thinking about a "set and forget approach". Plant 10-20 1-2 foot female clones in an area I know will get rainwater and only come check on them a few times over the season. Is this realistic? I mean I am not planning on getting 20 perfect 10 foot plants at the end of the season. I would be happy if 3 survived to be 5 feet tall honestly. I also know that without fertilizer and babying I won't get the maximum THC in the bud but as long as I use a strong strain I think I will be ok.

Any thoughts?

You don't need fertilizer if you plant outdoors in the ground as long as the vegetation isn't too thick. Cannabis will put down very deep roots and won't become deficient. There's no reason you won't get a successful yield if you do that.

you've got the right idea, you've just gotta think about the logistics of what your gonna do. Make sure its really secluded, could you bring water in if needed distance from road ETC. You never know all could make it none could make it. Set realistic goals and all will work well for you.

Of course I want to make the grow as far as possible from any people so I am thinking at least 2 miles from civilization in a heavily wooded area. Also I might scout locations pretty soon and start planting some thorny bushes and the like to make it even harder to get to. Of course the goal is to get in, do my business and get the fuck out ASAP. I know the area I want to grow in pretty well but it just sucks that the plants have to be out there for 3/4s of the year. I know that an outdoor grow really limits liability simply because if it is found all the popo can do is pull it up or wait and the area I am thinking about is VERY understaffed in terms of law enforcement. They have a "drug task force" but they also have a HUGE meth problem.
