Hi, I am about 2.5 weeks into veg stage and my plants are beginning to show signs of "discoloration" on their leaves. My biggest plant has its 7 serrated pot leaves coming in to give you an idea of how big they are. On their leaves i see a dirt-ish white spots all over. (my friend calls them brown-cancer spots lol). I am curious to know if im over-nuting or over watering? Thanks.

I'm seeing these signs on all of my six plants - its weird to me b/c they are not yellow or anything, its like brownish/whiteish spots covering the leaves. I got a great digital camera but it cant really emphasis on the spots so i cannot really show you, any feedback would be great - thanks.

I heard it may be Nutrient-SPLASH but we are careful while watering and the nutrients we are using is "Fox Farm", very popular and im pretty sure nutrients splashing onto the leaves is no problem if using foxfarm.

does it rub off with your finger? if it does it's probably fungal and you'll need to treat it. check humidity and airflow and keep a sterile grow room. that's about the best help I can offer sorry. some of the more experienced members will know more I'm sure.

the attached pic shows nutrient splash on the lower leaves, mainly residual and able to be rubbed off.

well... if your not sure what it is... and noone else is sure.. then do the next best thing.. make an educated guess from what youve seen/done...first i'd start with... telling us everything u did...."whiteish brownish spots kinda" doesnt say anything to us... just that u need your vision checked.... if these spots are real then i would start by checking your water, make sure it is properly ph'ed and make sure your not adding to much nutes... if your not sure whats too much... then your using too much, use less.. as for watering.. your should be doing it once a week or so... not every 2 days not every 2 weeks..next i would look at the bottoms of the leave's .. tops of the leave's ect... see if there are any bugs or noticable things... make sure your humidity is not to high( cause fungus) and make sure ur not dumping acid/harmfull chemicals onto your plants.. odd's are if its happening to all your plants... its a problem with your Envoirnment... so if your make your plants enviornment perfect... then plants should be/get to close to perfect. if youve done all those things and the problem persist then look into more complicated/rare problems... and worse comes to worse youve learned something... best senario your plants get back on track and get you some fat buds :)

Ok thanks, the spots definately dont rub off with my fingers and it is showing some leaf damage now, on the tips and on the sides. I'll try to cut back on nutes, it seemed to happen right when we introduced it to Grow Big for the first time.

Again, thanks

Also our environment seems perfect. We have a 400watt HPS sunset system and put it in the corner of the closet. The closet is at about 77 degrees and we have good ventilation, also coated the area with mylar.

Alot of my plants show yellowish cancer type spots on the lower leaves after 4-5 weeks or so, most of the time they dry up and fall off, but the plants always seem fine and show excellent growth.
When in doubt flush your plants, maybe raise the light an inch or two and always start your nutes at 1/4 dose. We push the hell outta these plants, I think alot of problems really are due to stress and shock.
