will order Spinosad from US but will have to wait weeks for delivery as well as pay about 50quid need something this week

Conserve is a spinosad and yes it is the best but not as easy to find as Azamax.

Til then you could use neem oil...it will slow them down.

If thrips are a big problem in your area as they are in mine, you may want to get some thrip screen. It is not that expensive and the best ones are quite effective. They have very small holes and will also keep out whiteflies, aphids and mites.
