how do i know when to use only water the last 7 days befor harvest. I dont want to be flushing the babies and after 7 days of strait water the tricoms not milky or even ready. any replys im sure will be helpfull THANKS

when she is done. and ready to harvest just flush reel good then strait water for two cycles let her dry up .just get her to use up what left of the nutes then she good. the trick is knowing when shes done. not to early.

sooo when i check it and think its about ready i should wait and flush for 2 cycles? how long is a cycle and how do i let it dry out if its roots are in water ya know its in a DWC bubbleponics system thanks for the imput

go get a pocket microscope from radio shack and you can look at the trichs . when they start to turn cloudy and sum will be ember then its time

You need to study up on examining trichs. But you have to estimate when it is about a week from harvest and go to plain water then. When the week is over look at trichs again and if not ready let it go on plain water another week - it won't hurt. Remember, most growers harvest too early not too late.

I dont think a week of flushing would be required in dwc but I don't know I've never done one. It seems like in dwc there wouldn't be any medium to hold nutes other than the water so switching to plain pH'd water a few days before harvest would be alright. then leave it in the dark for 24 hours to get it to use up stored food and chop away.

Well, Not really any tricks just look at them with a $12.00 mini microscope from radio shack and check the chart:

If you like a really stoney high, go for more amber...If you like a more buzzy kinda uppy high, go for more milky..

The roots and the plant hold nutes and they effect taste if harvested with not enough flush. I'm not saying a week is needed but it won't hurt a thing.

I'm a crusader for using a real microscope to check trichs. You can buy a good vintage school scope on ebay cheap and the difference is amazing. Trim of a little piece of bud from several points around each plant and take an averageof what percentage of trichs are amber. I wait for 25%+

When 60%+ of the hairs turn amber its a good time to consider chopping her down. If you chop too early you will lose yield, and thc. If you wait too long, you will also lose thc.. So yea..Its a fine line.
