Please Help...Plants are very Disappointing...

Looks like a salt build up which locks out nutes=stunted growth. I'll bet an eigth of White Widow that the water softener is the culprit.(They use salt to soften the water and plants hate that)

More light, as in keep the 150w all most touching the plants with out burnning them. Or get bigger light. No trimming auto's. no toping or anything that will slow em down....Live and learn. I only pulled 3/4 ounce of a auto on first run,

Ok, so I think I have got the answer that I was looking for...thanks everyone...
I have read a lot about using well water that has been softened...Very BAD IDEA... So I guess that is why my plants are so fucking small, salt has locked up the nutes to the plants..from now on I will be using water out of the vending machine...$.50 for two gallons...And NO Trimming, Move Lights CLOSER...This should definitely solve my problems... I can always find the help I need on here...THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HAS COMMENTED...:clap::clap:

Is there a spigot before the softener. you may not need to buy water. get it from the well before the softener.

Just another thing to keep in mind dragon, most autos are more nute sensitive than photo perido plants. I have some autos going now and have only fed them once at 1/4 strength. Still green and looking good!!

Yeah I have checked on each strain for the nute sensitivity...all is well, no burning from over feeding... Still believe that salt build-up from water softener is the culprit.

Dang man, that stinks. Hopefully next grow for you will be alot better. I wouldnt wanna grow them autos anymore if they are screwin you. I would stick with photoperiod plants and just flower when you want.

I like the idea of autos going outside though.

Don't let this harvest put you off to auto's. No offence, but you picked a doo-doo strain. I suggest any of the auto-flowers from Dinafem or DNA. You are sure to be happy with the results.

I used to run a 150 HPS in a 1.5x1.5x4 tent. I only did one plant but i think even with the massive problems i had both runs i did it i still got more bud then 7 grams but the bud was not at all good quality. The issues stemmed from tap water and nut deficiency but you can check it out any ways to see how it went till it went bad. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/378253-lowlife-ak-47-150w-hps.html

Id say get your lights closer as well. The recommended distance for a 600 is a foot and a half so is at least have that between the plants and the light.

I think you stressed them early and they didnt recover. Has the temps always been in the lower 80's or was their a week or two where temps were fluctuating and you were still trying to find the perfect setup to get consistent temps?

I hear everything that you guys are saying about auto's...they are a new breed and I haven't had a lot of experience growing them, or any type for that matter... (thatguy113) I understand what you are saying about the distance and the lighting, but I do believe that the problem still stems from using the well water that has went through a water softener. I added plenty of nutes to the system and I have a pretty tight regiment that I follow for watering and feeding, but none of that does any good when your roots are locked up from an (unthought about salt build-up) from the softened water... I'm going to give it one more try with the last La Diva Auto that I have... Going to be running under CFL's though because my new box is going to be occupied by a Hollands Hope, Pineapple Chunk, and a Widow Bomb for starting my summer outdoor setup...gotta get them big enough to pull a half dozen clones from each one...So for now the auto's are just gonna have to wait...

myself i'd say next grow .... use 3-5 gal pots straight from seed, and use a differnt soil (light mix) with added purlite... sometimes heavly nuted soil mixes are too much for autos.

but as scyntra says there are so many probable causes .... start a check list and cross of as many as you can .. results will imrove

you need a healthy mix of 4500k and 2700k oh and is the HPs bulb a new one?.... or has it been used to death?

Is there any chance that the people that have made the new posts have read this whole thread??? You keep asking me the same questions over and over again... The bulb is brand new, this is the first grow I have used it with... Salt build-up is my problem...
