Thought I would post this after reading some of the garbage enforcement information in this act. Sounds like the piggies will be given lots more power to do whatever they want. Warrant less searches here we come.

"A peace officer may exercise any of the powers de- scribed in subsection (1), (5) or (6) without a warrant if the conditions for obtaining a warrant exist but by reason of exigent circumstances it would be impracticable to ob- tain one."

I don't see that located anywhere in the Enforcement section <117/118> of the just released Cannabis Act.

Seems it will be illegal to grow from seed....

Cultivation, propagation and harvesting — 18 years of
age or older
Culture, multiplication ou récolte — individu âgé de
dix-huit ans ou plus
(4)
Unless authorized under this Act, it is prohibited for
an individual who is
18
years of age or older to cultivate,
propagate or harvest, or to offer to cultivate, propagate or
harvest,
15
(a)
a cannabis plant that is from a seed or plant mate-
rial that they know is illicit cannabis; or
(b)
more than four cannabis plants at any one time in
their dwelling-house.

I do not think some of this shit will fly, you mean to tell me you can have 4 plants, but if you have 5 it is 14 years in jail? that is the same way it is now, nothing has changed,lol....
So if you have 30 grams your cool but 31 and bam 5 years in jail?????? Give me a break.....

I think you have to read that sentence in its' entirety. They just made bag seed and clones from black market weed illegal. I have no idea how they will enforce this but with genetic technology I believe this is a precursor that will allow them to insert genes into "legal cannabis".

This is not exclusive to cannabis. Cops can enter your house without a warrant under special circumstances for any number of reasons already. If the cops haven't done so to you yet, chances are they aren't going to. The ones that face an issue are those who continue to grow LARGE ops without being licensed and those selling to kids.

What's changed? I had a buddy that lost 4 vehicles, 2 houses and his airplane to forfeiture because of a cultivation/sales conviction....and that was over 15 years ago...in BC.

How are they gonna prove I knew that seed was illicit? Just more unenforceable gum flapping. Also any seed produced by your plants are 100% legal and you can share.
