i was thinking the other day what happens if a female plant is pollinated with any other pollen besides cannabis?

are then genetics shit?

does it grow right?

if i wanted to get some seeds on the lower portions of my plant could i use say "tree pollen"??

thanks

-What do you mean "now that the seeds are half cannabis and half something else"? a male plant can only pollinate a female plant of the same species. sometimes females go hermaphrodite and can pollinate themselves like eric cartman's mom, but it's still all the same plant. I think you are really confused.
- The only thing i can think of is that you must think that Indica and Sativa are completely different plants. not true. A Haze (sativa) is to a Kush (indica) what a Golden retreiver is to a pit bull. sure they are different, but they are both dogs. If a Chinese guy gets with a black chick is he doing someone of a different species?
- When you hear about a hybrid it refers to a plant with a mixed heritage, mother and father are different varieties of cannabis. If you tried to rub pollen from another plant onto a beautiful female bud, you are essentially doing what the soviets did waaaay back when they tried to impregnate human females with chimpanzee semen... this, by the way, was not a successful experiment either, as there is no such thing as a Humanzee...

I was wondering the same thing, because i am thinking about growing weed and some vegetables together I remember something like the only dumb question is the question you don't ask. Hence there is no dumb question.

the only thing i really want to know is this.

if i use pollen from say a tomato plant will i get seeds or will the female plant not produce them because they are different breeds?

next if it does indeed make seed are the genetics compromised?

Two genetically similar plants might be able to cross pollinate.

If it can happen with Animals, for example Ligers and tyons (which are a lot more genetically complex) I don't see why it couldn't happen with plants.

It would need to be a plant very similar to Cannabis, but there are loads of those.

your question has been answered several times. IT WON"T WORK.

if a dog pollinates a cat you don't get catdog. wait a minute, maybe you do. time for cartoons kiddies ......... YouTube - Nickelodeon: CatDog (Intro)

Well if you 'pollinate' a Donkey with a horse you get a Mule (different species).

And if you 'pollinate' a tiger with a Lion you get a Liger.

Crossing of two distinct species is called Hybridization, it happens quite readily in plants.

People need to do there reseach before they come back with Narrow minded comments.

show me a tomato/pot plant. if this were possible everything in the vegetable garden would be fucked.
