Devastating drop in job approval numbers for Obama in new Gallup survey

President Obama's push for health care reform during the third quarter of 2009 has seriously damaged his public standing, according to new data from the Gallup Daily tracking poll. His job approval rating dropped nine points from the second to the third quarter, from 62 percent to 53 percent.
The nine-point second-to-third quarter drop is the highest Gallup has ever measured for an incumbent president during his first year in office, and among the highest quarter-to-quarter drops measured for any president at any point:

"Obama's 9-point slide between quarters ranks as one of the steepest for a president at any point in his first year in office. The highest is Truman's 19-point drop between his third and fourth quarters, followed by a 15-point drop for Gerald Ford between his first and second quarters. The largest for an elected president in his first year is Bill Clinton's 11-point slide between his first and second quarters," Gallup said.

Gallup also noted that Obama's average job approval rating has plummeted to among the worst since the polling organization began measuring presidential popularity and job approval.

Wait until the majority of voters realize that most of the elements of the so called health care reform do not even kick in for 4 to 5 years...
A "crisis" fix that is being rushed thru, and then we are going to wait years for the implementation thereof???Huhhh???

The top 5% wage earners in this country literally carry the other 95%. The top 5% are the idea ppl....the ones who have education, motivation, and superior risk assessment skills. This small pool of supreme talent should always be given a clear path to the goal line. They have what it takes to carry the rest of the team.
Ppl get jealous of the 5%, but they should take comfort that they live in a country which lets everyone have a shot at BEING the top 5%. That number isn't static....it is changing all the time. The only thing harder than getting on that list.... is staying on that list. Ppl jump on and off of that list all the time. Just like the poor is constantly changing ( the upwardly mobile society we are) in the USA, so are the wealthy.

Ur right..... bail outs are STUPID!!! You don't throw the PPL'S money at BAD books. Let those corps....fail. The govt. then cherry picks who lives, and who dies... and that is unconstitutional.

This administration is the most unconstitutional govt. we have ever produced. One of the reasons for all the slippage in the polls. The American ppl are fed up with the liberal agenda..... in less than a year. A Dem voting majority in Congress has been their Achilles heel. Careful what you wish for.

Um, yeah, because shipping US jobs overseas is GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY? Shipping jobs overseas means LESS JOBS HERE AT HOME, stupid! That means a higher unemployment rate, less money moving through the economy, and a heavier burden on taxpayers (who foot much of the bill for UNEMPLOYMENT payments).

SMALL POOL OF SUPREME TALENT? You mean like those Indian people who work at the Microsoft Technical Support Call center in India? The ones you can barely understand when you call? THAT "supreme talent"? Because Microsoft can't find enough stooges to answer telephones in the US, despite the fact that more people than ever are pursuing degrees in fields like, computer TECHNICAL SUPPORT?

Wake up and smell the exploitation of cheap labor, Jax.

Companies ship jobs overseas, NOT because there is more "talent" overseas, but because the WAGES ARE LOWER and in most cases they don't have to offer any additional employment benefits (health insurance? Nah, these countries already have SINGLE PAYER systems!). Health insurance premiums contribute up to 30% of employer spending in the US, Jax. That's 30% those companies get to save RIGHT OFF THE BAT by exporting jobs to other countries.

Then there's the minimum wage, which in India is 80 Rs per day. THAT'S ONE US DOLLAR PER DAY, JAX!

Let's weigh the benefits for companies to ship jobs to India again, shall we?

Employers in India don't need to provide health insurance for their employees, because India has a single payer insurance system already in place - saving companies up to 30%.

The minimum wage in India is equal to ONE DOLLAR a day in the US.


but you know, Jax, you're right. It's the SUPREME TALENT of those Indian workers that motivates companies to outsource to India, isn't it?

(Nov. 8) - In a surprise to political observers, the Democrats' health care reform bill drew the support of one House Republican in a historic vote Saturday night.
Louisiana Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao joined 219 Democrats to pass sweeping legislation aimed at overhauling the nation's health care system.

"I have always said that I would put aside partisan wrangling to do the business of the people," Cao, pictured on the left, said in a statement posted on his Web site. "My vote tonight was based on my priority of doing what is best for my constituents."
All eyes are now on the Senate, where top Democrats hope to vote on health care legislation in the coming months.
Cao came to represent the heavily Democratic 2nd district after defeating Rep. William J. Jefferson in a special election last winter. Jefferson, who had represented the area since 1991, was battling corruption charges at the time.
The Vietnamese-born former ethics teacher was touted by a top GOP member as "the future" of the Republican Party after the victory.

The future of the GOP? Yea, right! What a joke!

The whole system is coming apart at the seems. And all we can do is thank the idiots in Washington for NOT representing the voice or will of the people!

We told them no to open boarders - so what?
We told them no on the bailout- so what again.
We told them no on the stimulus- ditto
We told them no on health care- and this is the result.

Some really bad things are going to happen in the very near future.

Sending jobs overseas is going to be a big thing as no company will be able to stay in business if the senate passes health care into law.
