alot of people push their equipment to the max. post your firehazard grows here. mine is 1 big fan, 9 26watt cfl's, 400watt-hps, and a heater on 1 powerstrip and timer

Technically this powerstrip WAS a fire hazard, but it seems to work fine now. I was able to buy it for only $7.00 off Craigslist! People throw away too much perfectly good stuff in my opinion.

Anyways, I've been running my 1000W on it for a couple days now as a test and it seems to work fine so I'm going to go ahead and add the other 1000W to her tonight.

And before someone comes here and says hey, using a cooked power strip might not be 100% up to code, I'll have you know that I wired my own house and it works fine.

A little tip for anyone thinking about re-wiring their house, go with aluminum wiring over copper wiring. It's a proven fact that aluminum delivers the electricity faster and it just looks cooler because it is silver and shiny, unlike copper. Copper went out with the steam boiler IMO.

Here is my basement, where the electrical magic happens at my house. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it.
