Powdert MIdew... AGAIN

Why would I need you to tell me I have something I can visually see? If one of his plants has pm it's very unlikely they all don't unless his strain has a genetic resistance.

The answer to his problem is environmental control and proper preventative measures. Not spending money on a test to tell him something he already knows.

Just because there's science there to detect it doesn't mean that it has to be used. I'm sure most people can tell when they have pm without a hole punch and a fistful of cash.
The only time your able to see it is when it becomes a full spread infection on the plant. By that time the spores are spread throughout the air and potentially infect neighboring plants. If you tested a plant that has no visual signs of the infection but tested positive you would want to implement preventative measures to at least quarantine and apply treatment. Depending on the plant, some have a stronger immune system to keep pm in check but others may become weaker closer to flowering and can't fight it any longer.

By your logic it's like saying Just because there's science to detect HIV people shouldn't do it because they can develop AIDS later.

My point was you should always operate a clean(ish) room, act preventatively, and maintains proper environment. If you do all 3 of those the likelihood of you getting an unmanageable outbreak if one even occurs is absurdly low.

Once again preventative measures are always going to win here, and you should always take preventative measures regardless of your plant showing symptoms or not. I just wouldn't break out the eagle 20 or merit 75 without having a serious issue. I treat for an array of things before going into flower, usually as naturally as possible unless it's something alarming then I'll break out the more drastic measures. Most of my pest and disease control is built into my feedings, teas, and foliar sprays now anyways.

An ounce of prevention is worth 10 pounds of cure isn't the saying for no reason.

You should always assume that the issues could be there, and use the basic preventative measures like neem, strengthening your plants with some silica, and managing your bennies.

The only time I could see that type of testing being worthwhile for anyone would be in a commercial grow, which 99.9% of the people coming to the internet for help are not ever going to be a part of.

What recipe is in your foliar sprays? If you don't mind me asking. Thank you for making your point clear :)

I spray through veg with silica and og biowar foliar, fulvic acid, azamax or neem and usually a cal/mag supplement at some point. Alternating around between all of them usually only 1 or 2 mixed per spray. The rest of it is just normal Bennie tea with gw/recharge/oregonism etc. Plus the occasional spinosad spraying. Sm-90 is also a good product for many typical garden issues.

Even easier.... Mix 10:1 water and milk ... Spray leaves .
Most importantly you MUST .... Clean your grow area heavily between grows ... It will spread again if you don't.
Usually 10 to 1 but skim milk is supposedly better than whole or 2%.

I wonder if that acidopholus milk with cultures like yougurt might be even better.

1- yes, dumbass molasses.
2-likely you need a more reliable way of measuring and controlling humidity and temps day and night,
mold is difficult to grow at 48% RH in 23.1 c
grape plants have pests and mold, windows let them in when opened.
sorry this happened to you. better fortune next time
Seagrapes are dirty ass plants.

Big Time Exterminator is supposedly good for spider and russet mites, aphids, various soil bugs plus Powdery Mildew.

About $40 bucks or so per quart but it lasts a long time. You can use it up to day of harvest and I think the scret ingredients are yeast cultures.

Green Cleaner is also good for bugs and PM plus it can be used up to the day of harvest.
