Im running a 600w MH and have had a 3 power interruptions in the last 2 weeks. Ive noticed that when i had the long interruption the light came back on no problem but the other two interruptions were very short ones and the light didnt kick on.
Is this normal?

Magnetic ballasts won't wait to restrike. These are HID lamps and all types of HID need to cool for awhile, they will not hot restrike.

You can buy a delay timer that will prevent the light from kicking back on for a preset period of time, usually one you can adjust.

The other option is LED lighting, which has no such limitations.

my lumateks failed every time I had a power out. some failed permanently, some didnt fire up until reset.
after ditching them my Quantums are generator ready. they work flawlessly with dirty power gens and better
with my new standby generator power.
