PPM mistake

Hi there !
People from this site helped me diagnose a nitrogen overdose ,so I made another solution with less nitrogen and less a bit of the rest . The plants loved it and it shows . My previous mix was at 1200 PPM and the new one 750 PPM . I just finish reading about the .5 and .7 scales of a PPM meter . I WAS ON THE .5 SCALE .
As I understand it ,for PPM I should have been on .7 scale . Now that my meter is on the right setting ,I go to check my new mix that was 750PPM is now 1150PPM . So that means that the one at 1200 PPM must have been around 1600 PPM ...??? No wonder the plants were starting to show yellowing tips and started to claw .
I keep learning and I love it !
Peace guys !

Glad people were able to help before any serious problems manifested, ppms are a derivative of the calculated EC, so I find it in my best interest to post EC and my meters PPMs , because everyone speaks EC regardless of meter brand. Food for thought, happy growing
