Pre-sexing on 18/6?

I've been vegging now for about 2mo and sticking to a 18/6 cycle. Just recentlyI've noticed female characteristics. I've read about pre-sexing, but I'm afraid their going into full flowering mode. Now, they havn't made it past a couple calyxs with pistils. They are 2 plants with 2 different strains. Have any of you experienced this?

:)

Very few strains will automatically flower..

What are you waiting for?... I agree with VV, 2months is a long time for vegging..

i thought you were supposed to veg for 5 months!?
Hi Johnny...

one of the bigest misconceptions about MJ is the vegging time... You can actually do very welll if you only veg a plant for 14-16 days and have 4-6 nodes... and then switch to 12/12 (flowering).. you can harvest 2-4 ounces... using a simple soil and CFL grow....

The most important factors..

1. pH your water- http://www.seemorebuds.com/ph/
2. room temperature (70-80)
3. GREAT soil, perlite mixture
4. watering technique... water thoroughly and then let your soil dry... watering a 3 gallon container should be done with at least 1/2 gallon water... to thoroughly saturate the entire pot every watering
5. Light proximity... keep the lights close to prevent stretching and TIGHT nodal growth.. this promotes BIG colas and heavier yields..
6. Steady air flow... have fans blowing air around the room..

That bit of info just sent me into flowering. I was waiting on the last 2 of 6 plants to get some size before going 12/12. Finally! The 1st 2 plants are 27" but the smallest 2 are only 5". 2 More in the middle at about 14". I may not get much on the smaller ones....but Im tired of waiting to for them to gain some size before flowering. Thanks for the info.

I know its months later, but i feel the same way that you do. There is not a such thing as complete darkness in the wilderness. And I am sure a pin hole leak of light in your cabinet/room does not compare to the brightness of the moon. But I am sure someone has more info on this than I do.
