preflowering males

I popped 20 bag seeds from an lb of some outdoor. All we know about the bag is the buds were big, seeds were big the weed smelled graprefruit-ish / gassy.
About a month and a half from sprouting the males started to show sex. Then soon followed the females preflowering.
Im wondering about the males. Nearly half are male and already have many balls while still in veg, hangin all over the place. Lookin at the males I would think that i got some autoflower seeds. Lookin at the females though they have some super fat hairs coming out but its still only a couple here and there, pre flower style.
just curious if anyone has any comment on males crazy preflowering or dropping pollen while still in veg. (looks like they could any day now!)
Oh and one of the male is tri-foliate kinda bigger than the rest.

What I've seen over time is that most males, specially when held in small containers will start to flower even without being flipped. I say most, I only keep those that don't start auto-flowering so there are exceptions. The other thing I noticed is that clones of the male will tend to do that sooner than when initially running it from seed.

These are in small pots. Thanks for that GroErr. Am tempted to use the pollen. In your experience would using it pass on a potential herm trait or is it just an assumption?

Yeah they seem to trigger faster when held for a bit in small pots so that's likely what's happened. As far as hermie traits, if you don't know how they were made (pollinated or hermie seeds) just be careful when you run them and check for nanners regularly. There's no guarantee either way, there is a higher chance of hermie seeds from a hermie but you can also find some gold in there. I wouldn't use them for breeding myself but for personal seeds as long as you monitor them you'll be alright.
