Preserving Clones for Later Use

I have a plant that has female preflowers and i want to take some clones.

Unfortunately i will not be able to put any plants in dirt for a few more months and i was wondering if there any way to preserve the clippings?

Is it possible to freeze the clippings and simply defrost them when i am ready to use it? Or would that put the cells into too much shock if not kill them?

If you dont know how of if this is possible and have an idea please contribute it anyway.

i believe freezing will kill your clippings, i believe i read somewhere that you could put them in a mason jar filled with ph'd water and they could last a month. I am not sure on this and have never tried it. I am pretty sure i read it though
