the white house did stop a last minute attempt by Bush to open up offshore drilling in a manner which Obama found objectionable. basically, bush tried to open drilling all up and down both coasts without any input from the individual states. so obama killed it.
white house official position is an openness toward offshore drilling in conjunction with renewable energy initiatives.
i like the position. he hasn't fooled me at all.
he is not even trying to fool you. somebody else is doing that.
