Can anybody help me out? Just growing some veggies and having some problems with the plants. I haven't grown much besides weed so this is new to me.
Using 1/4 mg seedling mix, 1/2 mg potting mix and 1/4 perlite added in
Cherry tomato plants has droopy/curling leafs
Sunflower plants are ugly, stunted, yellow blotches and deformed
Any ideas how I can help make things better?20170321_172505.jpg 20170321_172515.jpg

Miracle Grow.

Now you know why it's crap.
I don't use it because of the heavy metals in it. Mg works. If it didn't it wouldn't be sold by the pallet at big box stores.

Sun flowers need a bigger pot. Chronic under water.

The tomato looks over watered. Could be under watered.

Both are watering issues.

I use the MG rose food....on medium size roses. It's awesome stuff on that. The salts ain't bad.

However, You can't predict when the dissolve balls in the potting soil will burst. You also don't know how long the bag sat at the store. How many balls busted before you bought it. Miracle Grow is catching a bad name for it. Those fertilizer balls are a bad idea and they add it to everything.

Thanks for the replys, I know mg sucks but I used the same logic, it's so popular it has to kind of work. I just am not investing money into these plants like I would my bud.

I was wondering if the tomato plants was overwatered, I wasn't sure though.
Had no idea that's what happened to sunflowers when they're underwatered! Thanks, I will Transplant them and keep them alittle more moist.

They don't burst. They slowly dissolve.

I've pinch one to feed a devils ivy in bubbled water. It's a hard shell with liquid inside. That shell dissolves then the contents leak out. If they dissolved slow then it wouldn't be so bad.

you should stake them or get a tomato cage to get them off the dirt, and lower the temps a bit. they also need a bit lower ph to thrive than most plants, and even mj so dont be afraid to add peat or some coffee grinds

I am surprised no one has said they look nutrient deficient. Looks like they could use N and cal/MAG. Maybe they are being locked out, too. Anybody else?
