Anybody have experience with promix bx with mycorise! How is the ph on this particular soil? I'm having yellowing on older leaves and there is no growth. I'm at the end of 3 weeks they should be kicking off now! Use to use ffof with no problems but was trying to go veganic!

are you feeding with nutrients?

i use promix bx, i love it. its a soil-less mix though, not a soil. you need to add nutrients. Im starting to use general organics. its pretty cheap, and very easy to use.

I used ProMix BX for years and never had any issues. It starts out around 7.0 and may go down a bit but it's fine. From what you have said you have a nitrogen issue so you need to fix that and the yellowing will go away and the plant will kick in. What are you feeding the plants?

Getn some burn on the tips so I'm not so sure it's a nutes problem some type of lock up or water ph prob!!!! Never had a problem early on! Only after 12/12

I use promix with biocanna, but I also amended it with kelp meal, EWC, and soft rock phos. The only problems I've had are small deficiencies, nothing to do with the pH.

Thought that I would mention that Pro-Mix is not Organic. The started charge of nutrients and the wetting agent are not organic nutrients.
I still use the old Ocean Forest : Light Warrior mix and have no problems!
Good Luck!

So the ph is good with promix and biocanna. Ewc, humid acid, and kelp is in the tea with humisoil! What type of deficiencies! I'm thinking calcium is locked up getting curling and burnt ends on older leaves! Never had a problem with ffof gonna go back to it if this problem persists. Could b the seeds thought DNA was reputable.
Had some mutated ones as well!

Do you know your run off pH?

I make my own mix using peat moss from the same company (Premier), but with 12 or so amendments it's way beyond ProMix, but has everything ProMix has plus a bunch more, except the vermiculite. I just don't use vermiculite, too water retentive.

Anyway, dolomite lime is the second ingredient added since the mix is very acidic without it. Just saying.

Check your runoff for S&G.

yo a while back this guy name tranoble told everyone that promix ppms to start out were 1100ppm. He said fill a dixie cup with water and promix and let it sit out overnight. he said the ppm came to 1100ppm. Alot of people say they helped solve there problem. So i dont recomend feeds on the first watering.
I still use promix. I just use it wisely.
I have gotten good results in promix and in sunshinemix.
I use connoissuer a+b and grow micro and bloom at a ratio of 1/2/3 teaspoons per gallon.
