PSA cyber harassment

this thread is by no means an attack or defamation of anybody's character. Simply a service announcement regarding a recent experience I had here and in my real life.

DO NOT GIVE ANYBODY YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, OR GIVE IN TO THREATS OR INTIMIDATION BY OTHERS ONLINE.

A fellow recently tried to extort my personal information. If I didn't provide my personal information to him, I was threatened with police involvement in my cannabis activities. Leverage was to be gained here by threatening exposure and slanderous accusations against my character and business. This individual sent numerous emails with the threats and extortion attempt. Finally to threaten me with a lawsuit if I reported his harassment, because I "disclosed" his emails to authorities, and breached his privacy. Lol.
It's come to the point where I have contacted a well know lawyer, to help with a cease and desist order. Then next step will be a peace bond/restraining order against my perpetrator.

Please don't give in to these cyber bullies, this is a first for me. Disputes or dissagreements are one thing on a forum, it's another to make threats in real life. Just be careful and don't become complacent or let your guard down. These dregs of society are looking for vunerable people to pray on, this time they picked the wrong guy. The issue has been resolved here at RIU, as the perpetrator has been banned. Hopefully this is the end of the situation.

Sorry to hear about your experience. From their threats towards you it is clear that they are not very experienced with extortion, I hope the idiot gets a serving of karma along with some legal issues.

Funny thing is I never got him banned, he did that himself. I had nothing to do with that because it was his word against mine. He was warned as was I, he didn't heed Sunni's warning and was banned. Sunni was very diplomatic and gave all parties the benefit of the doubt, and I commend her on her role, very professional. In the end justice prevailed.

The best part is that I contacted the lawyer that he was threatening me lawsuits with, turns out that he's not a client of his...lol, so I asked the lawyer he was claiming to be his to represent me and deliver a cease and desist order. Just waiting on the lawyers responce.

That is not funny eh? I try not to make myself vulnerable to start with. These dregs are just like talking to authorities. The keep pumping you until you get angry or slip up somewhere. I spotted that one after the second post and put the ignore button to good use from thereon. I usually can spot them in the 1st five posts. I have found if you do not engage them they will go away bored, somewhere else hopefully.

I question his mental stability. Glad he's gone from here. I could tell something was wrong with the guy.

I got threatened with violence. I'm glad Sunni could see the truth on these two stalkers. The other fellow that rhymed with TURD said he wanted to " bitch slap " me. I feel that was gay talk for saying he wanted to have sex with my bum.

Well hell. Who was it?
