If you dont run a closed room then the ac air will be virtually useless. No way to keep a room cooled with ac and vent out stink at the same time.

The way that I used the AC last summer was installed into the building of my flower room at the time. Had a oscillating fan right in front of the AC vent. The exhaust fan was running constant and the AC basically ran constantly as well except for the night. This would blow cool air over the canopy of my plants and brought temps down to 81 from in the mid 90s. Not very efficient no, but it helped and allowed me to grow through the summer. The cool air was basically just circulating over the canopy and out the vent but it did cool the the room.

I thought maybe it would work the same in my current setup if I kept the lung room warm.

My room is set up with ac to run in summer. My room simply gets a cap on the inlet, and the ducting gets capped (takes 5 min to convert from winter to summer) and I run an in room scrubber 24/7 with CO2 during lights on. My room is very well insulated so I use an old 5000 btu AC from 1995 and it hardly even comes on and cycles when lights are on. I have it set on MED with the temp set at 6 out of 10 to give you an idea of how well it works. I have the heat from the backside of ac exhausted out of the building from the other side of the wall.

Nice Red... So you use a window unit as well I see. How many BTU's is it? Mine is 6000 and if it were sealed I don't think that would be sufficient to cool 4000 watts of HPS. I may upgrade to a larger AC unit this spring and keep the 6000 in the veg room. I may need more like a 12,000? Maybe?

I figured you had a mini split. Most growers praise them. How many watts was it you ran?

I have tons more pics to post later and will also do an edit. Got one of each strain this time, or a few actually. I will label all of the photos later as I am heading out to work this morning. Those photos I just posted are only the Chem 91 and 413 Chems.
