Looks great man. Those are going to be big heavy colas in just a little bit. Nothing better than buds dripping in resin from nice and early.

Middle of Week 6 Update.

Very impressed with the resin on both strains. Things are getting chunky up in the tent so I had to go and tie some branches up for support. Well as much as I tried to avoid brushing up against buds, both my arms ended up being so sticky and smelly at the end I had to shower again before going out in public. Gave them their first dose of MOAB yesterday so they should get a bit heavier before it's all over. The CCBG are the chunkier than the VK but there's definitely more bud sites of the VK, even though there's only 2 VK compared to the 3 CCBG. As of now, I would recommend both strains and am glad I have some more CCBG seeds waiting for me. I can tell she's going to be a pleasure to smoke on all fronts. And it was also my first run with Barney Farms Violator Kush and I would definitely grow it again but ordering seeds online is such a hassle for me I much rather just hit up one of the clubs in town. Which has me thinking about my next run now. I'm know I'm going to do less veg time and keep them about a foot or so shorter than this round. Just not sure if I want to fuck with seeds or clones...both have their pluses and minuses in my book, I guess it will come down to available strains to choose from. I'll post up some of my options later on in the week and I'd appreciate some feedback on ones you'd recommend or just want to see me grow out. Guess that's all for now. Thanks for sticking with me so far.

Start of week 7 update.

Probably about 2 weeks left. Give or take a few days. Shouldn't be much longer than that (I hope). We'll see. Can't wait for this one to be over with.

They should fatten up quite bit in the next 7-10 days. Don't be too anxious to pull the trigger.

I have that problem, especially if I am low on medicine, but if that's the case, just snip some lower branches

Puff you are a cannaboss! I'm glad you decided to do this thread, I'm living in enemy territory right now. So it's a no grow for the next 3 months or so. These pictures will have to suffice for the time being. Keep up the amazing work.

Hello everyone,
I have to say your grow journal is impressive puff, I am a bit sad I discovered it only today but any way I will follow it from now on.
You already have huge colas, well done!
I wanted to ask you: how far is you apache from the plants?
I will probably make my own apache with 1W led and lenses of 25° so I also would like to know the penetration achieve by your apache.
and last question, do you think the A51 SGS160 as a better ratio for flowering?

I was also looking at apache tech site, and something stroke me: they say their lamp is outputing 120lumen/W by looking quickly at the 1W led I found to make my panel, it give 120lumen/W for white but only 70/w for red leds. which is logical. How can they have a total average of 120lumen/W? Isn't it bullshit?
On their lenses description they say 14 to 50°, can you see on your panel which led has 50°lenses and which lense has 14°? or is it impossible?
I guess they would put more narrow angle and the white as they are better distributed.

sorry for my english, it's not my mother tongue.

good grow :)

It's not that I'm low on smoke, it's that I just want to get this round over with already!! But patience is a virtue and I don't intend on pulling the plug on these bitches until they are good and ready.

Looking good brother! Keep up the good growing and busting nuts on these haters.
Thanks bro! I always try my best to keep show a hater who's boss.

ILP, what's up homie?! Glad you are still around and kickin'. Now what's up with all your crazy genetics??

Thanks for stopping in speedy. Better late than never is what I always say. So the apache got really close this time, like literally within 1 inch away from the top of the big CCBG. No burns/bleaching on the buds, just on a couple fan leaves that were touching the lenses. Penetration on the apache is awesome, the mid-low branches are fat and dense. I'll try to get some good pics of them soon. I can't really say whether the apache or area51 has a "better" ratio for flower because they both rock the shit out of the plants. I do like that the apache has more red leds, but then the area51 has the warm white so it kind of balances each other out. Overall, the spectrum on the area51 is more yellow than the apache for what it's worth. Not sure if it's strain related or spectrum, but the CCBG under the apache have more resin/crystals. But like i said, not sure if it's strain or light influencing that.

Don't know much about the leds that apache uses. I don't think their claims are bullshit though, if they say they are 120 lumens/watt, then I believe them. My panel is all 14* lenses which I think is better than having some or all at 50*. Hope this helps clarify for you.

Hahaha, thanks for posting that pic up, bro. All is good in my hood. I'm a few hours away from Yosemite so I haven't seen the effects of the rim fire. But it is a god damn tragedy about it. So much lost, it's quite saddening. Yeah, I heard that report too about the illegal grow possibly starting it...doesn't make sense to me how an outdoor grow would spark flame though (other than humans being stupid)...not sure how true that is but would be shitty if that was the case. Thanks for the concern though buddy.

Shiiiiit, brother Dawg, i was rookie status a few years ago with leds, but now you can just call me the mvp. Which sexy lady are you talking about willis? The CCBG was grown under the apache and the VK under the area51. Both are sexy if you ask me.

My genetics have been shared with a select few trustees in CO, so I know I can get them back when I make my return. I'm moving to the west coast in 2014, so you'll be the first to know.

Day 50 of 12/12.

I'm thinking 7-14 days left. I can probably pull the back 2 CCBG and back VK first, closer to 7. The front VK might take the 14 and the front CCBG somewhere in between. Man, the smells are to die for. Can't wait to puff on some of this dank.

Glad someone has gotten something useful out of my ramblings. Well, I appreciate the ass-kissing, but it is I that needs to study up from the Dawg-i-san because your latest sluts have me in a daze when I look at them.

Thanks very much Puff for this nice and precise answer. :)

The west coast is the best coast. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Just be sure to get some of those genetics out here when you make the journey.

Day 57 of 12/12.

I started flushing a few of the girls. They'll go a few more days under the light and then get 24 hrs of dark before getting the axe. I'll be sure to get some good harvest pics up. Super happy with the quality of both strains.
