*Puprle wreck&mystery strain* day 55 flowering.first time harvesting need help

a couple days have passed but these pics were taken on day 55. it may possibly be day 57.

im well aware i need a magnifying glass...or possibly a jewelers loupe correct? however until then i need help on when would at least be a safe window period to harvest each plant? the pic with the large cola is my mystery plant. i found it in some trees i got awhile back n liked the bud (dont remember now what it was) so i saved it and it just so happened to be a girl. (lucky me!) and the other is a purple wreck fem seed i got. is very short and stocky...no really large buds to speak of...not even the main cola...its not a producer i can tell. lol...btw the mystery strain is 35in tall.

THE REST OF THIS POST IS JUST BACKGROUND INFO...FEEL FREE TO SKIP STRAIGHT TO THE PICS W/ YOUR OPINIONS/THOUGHTS!!!

My setup:
Lighting: 600w digital ballast hps system (from htg...the greenhouse 1 not lumatek idk if thts how u spell it). I also have a few 23w cfls for side lighting.

Soil: fox farm ocean forest and a light mix (slightly over 4 fox farm gallons to slightly under 1 gallon organic mix of bone meal, bat guano, worm castings, and one other i forget now).

Nutes: fox farm grow big during veg and fox farm tiger bloom for flowering

number of plants in garden 2 near harvest and there are 6 other big bangs in the very early stages of flowering (sex has barely shown yesterday...all female as i used fem seeds)

temp and humidity are around 70-75 degrees and 60-75% humidity.

ph is stable at 7.

they have already been flushed and it will reach the two wk mark (of since they been flushed) this weekend. so waiting to chop is not an issue.

yea i noticed what you meant by that...when i clicked the link to look those pics look tiny...stupid photo sharing sites...its originally a huge pic...prolly y they resized it. damn.

i noticed you like purps (as in your avatar and sn) would you happen to know how long the purple wreck takes? i've heard 8 weeks and i've heard 9 weeks...some1 has even said 45-55 days...

im well aware no 1 can give me a guess on the mystery strain because i have no idea what it is...with my hps off though i noticed theres a lot of red in it (the hairs and such)...

correct me if im wrong but once the hairs start "sinking" back into the buds/plant isnt it close to being finished? the purple wreck has nearly all the hairs sunk back in (just a few at the VERY bottom of the plant are still stickin out)...same with the mystery strain...pretty much all the hairs on the main cola are sunk back in but there are places in which the hairs are sticking out still and some hairs (i couldnt believe it) are still white...mainly on the lower branches.

this saturday will mark day 60 of flowering for both. i was contemplating possibly chopping the purple wreck and leaving the mystery strain for another week...or possibly chopping the main colas of both and letting the rest fill out. not sure yet.


as i said before this is my first harvest and i feel decently prepared...i already have a very LARGE fan (the thing is huge...it creates a pretty strong breeze in the room just on the lowest setting) wire hangers...close pins...mason jars...brown paper bags...etc.

my plan was to chop them down branch by branch...trim em up...hang em in a closet with a fan blowing for 2 days or so...then move them to the paper bags for a few more days...then burp in the jar for the remainder of the time it takes to dry. isnt that the correct way of doing it (i could be wrong). seems like i spent so much time doubting i'd get through veg n flower that i didnt really believe i'd get a chance to get anything to harvest my first grow through as i had MANY issues w/ the purple wreck the whole way through...it was really sensitive to everything done to it but the mystery held up like a champ...

dude what bud you ether cant grow or had a major issue some were and ive been running reserva privada purple wreck for 2 years now and always am over 113GRAMS dry
