Yes. That is the way most do the cross. From Auto pollen to photo flowers. The auto male will be done before the photo, so you have to save it.

I've never done autos or semi autos, but many on here have had good results with them. getaway mountain has done really good work with semi autos. He is up in Maine, where if you are not early, you don't make a crop. It takes some work, but you see which ones auto flower, and just use those in your breeding if the auto is what you are looking for. You can breed the f1's back to photos, or you can breed them with each other.

But where they really shine is that you can veg them with long light hours. Say 20/4 or something like that. You veg them until they are as big as you want them. Then when you put them out in 14 hours of sunlight, they will go ahead and start to flower.
Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me......Makes a lot more sense now...Guess that's why i recently been buying regular auto's..Also the prices were right(always less expensive than fem auto's):hump::clap:....

Equinox today yay , hopefully the rest start budding faster now . The first one in pic , Swazi landrace is 52 days into budding . Gunna try leave it till 15 of April . The second one with thicker pistols is a suprise because thought it was also a landrace but it's my friends strain bad grandpa and has a nice bubblegum smell to it . Then patch with huge indica in front then other furthest plant some kind of skunk or Kush hybrid , small plant but smells great . Then the haze that is now fully adjusted to the outdoors and growing well , also one is female already . So currently have 14 females . Then just the newly started autoflower under led . How long you guys reckon on that plant in first two pics ?

She is getting close. Maybe couple three more weeks. But you can tell when she starts to swell up at the very end.

Both haze outside almost two weeks , both turned female. Auto blue cheese indoor day 12. First two pics the Swazi landrace is getting harvested in 16 days. The just pics of the patches. Weather getting quite cold and rainy recently, but yet to see any purpling on the buds or leaves. Haha I want something to trim already though .

Some of the outdoor plants are a bit young. How do you plant to keep them safe during the nights from the frost etc?

First strain is drying quite a bit , but ATM is weighing 423 grams . Still need to cure it a good month or two . And reweigh it. For an official dry weight . It's the one in the jars , got 11 of them . The second strain I just harvested is a much stronger hybrid .Is all smelling amazing .
