So what happens when you lower the temperature on an albino species mjnme? As obviously they are severely lacking the wonderful green chlorophyll.

Also, you're saying that no strain will naturally grow purple buds?
i never said that no strain will naturally grow purple bud : ).

Its all in the plant. I have grown purp and non purp side by side getting the same everything. Its all in the plants. Oh and I never lower my temps they stayed around 78-80 throughout. check my signature link to see some pics. It didnt taste or smoke any better just looks unique so its fun to have around but I actually like the non purp I have better.

I don't know why everyone pops a boner over purple either. I have a micro grow thats just about finished up, and I've been partially harvesting because the plants are sativa's and they are not maturing evenly. I have most of the bud off of one plant, and the lower popcorn just started to purple up, calyxes and leaves. Same exact weed but a different color. Big fricking woopty doo. Shit, its probably just because of stress. On the other hand, there are some amazing purple strains, i.e. mendo purps, purple kush, purple urkle, and purple fx. The problem is, these strains aren't defined by their purple appearance, they also have some of the best flavors and highs around. People think just cause its purple they be smoking some of mendo's finest, when in fact they just got ripped off hahaha. Its all about flavor and high people, that's all that matters.

The original Okeechobee Purple from the 70's was a sativa strain from Jamaica called Indigo. It was so good my uncle had to write a song about it...
