oh yah 2 weeks into flower 23 inches, i got 3 more started of shwag seed just for fun probably wont finish them but they look like short stocky indica so that is good news anyway. will be good for variety when I do another grow ultimate stealth in a rubbermaid 65 gallon tub.

No filters just TiO2 oxidizing lights I got them in the mail now, from what I have heard they are the shit! then all I will need is some 80mm stealth low dB fans to attach to the back cover the inside in mylar and put cfl's in. I guess its more effecient watt wise doing that with reflective pots and everything as light is almost 100 percent transmitted to the plants. probably better than Hps I saw a grow where a guy got 5.5 oz in smaller rubbermaids stacked one upside down on another with 6 plants i think using 6 or 8 Cfl's and just miracle grow soil, no fancy nutes.

Its stupid to build an entire grow room and waste all the money on HPS and bullshit like expensive nutes and everything I agree with FDD its all just hype, a set up with the big rubbermaid you could probably grow 10 oz in 2.5 months in a small extremely inconspicuos place that noone will suspect because those TiO2 lights are extremely effective at oxidizing organic volatiles and according to others there is NO smell. Your landlord could snoop his ass off and probably not figure it out if you have things normally stacked in a closet right on top of your grow.

dragoneye I might do that, I got into an argument last night and it really made me see how ghetto ass my grow is but for reasons I can't reveal yet I am not that interested in massive yeild, just need some viable seeds.

Hey sicknasty i have a quick question at the beginning of the grow did you dilute the h202 in the same water as you did the superthrive. and did you still use the h202 when you started adding nutes? BTW the grow looks very nice i hope you get some fire buds from it:leaf::fire:

I'm doing my very first grow with CFLs (I'm on my fourth day with 2 little sprouts... wish me luck!) and I've got the 2x 100w "Sunlight" 6200k, and 1x 150w "warm white" going under a reflector I made on the cheap and easy yesterday! I just used some foam core and aluminum foil, which are great for building miniatures, reflector walls for grow boxes, and hoods for CFLs. ;) I'll put a pic up here in a couple of hours, and I'll start my own thread so I can get some feedback. This thread's been a lifesaver so far.... Getting tips from other CFL growers is tremendously helpful! And I REALLY want to know where you got that 4 socket fixture, because I want it.

Do you do surround lights as well, a la a small scale phototron? I'm covering my whole grow box with aluminum foil today to get as much light reflecting all around as possible, but for my 3 plant operation I'm wondering if it would be better to invest in a couple more fixtures and bulbs.

Your plants look healthy and really bushy! You should be proud! I wish I could be around you when those buds get cured and dried. :) Good luck, and keep it up!

Yah I'm not sure about the h202 wether it matters or not. I did when they were sprouts but not anymore. I'm not even sure if I used enough to even matter some people have told me you have to use the 35% h202 but that shit is really strong so be carefull you can bleach just about anything with it and burn yourself.

I have bee surrounding it but I still got my lower fan leaves dying off so I just quit because all the buds have reached the same level. I am on break right now so I had to raise the lights so I wouldnt have to worry about them growing up into them. Only have 7x42 watt 2700k cfls and one Bioizer 26w 6500k cfl.

By the way the Bioizer CFL are awesome they kill the smell completely couldn't even smell it in the same room before I left. I got two off of ebay for 30 bucks.

Ionized light bulbs? No shit. You could have gotten 4x 26w 6200K cfls (Wal-Mart) and a 1lb "Bad Air Sponge" for the same price, though. :p And where did you get that 4 socket fixture? I'm a little iffy on just using more and more and more adapters, but whatever works, right?

When do you get off break? I want to see some new pics! You've got an inspirational setup, and I'd love to see how it's progressing still.

Good luck!

Monday or tuesday I will have pictures up. The Y sockets are rated for 660 watts so it would be hard to overload them. Just use some simple math to figure out the max lights you can have off of the main one.

I don't think you understand I dont have to screw with anything with the bulbs besides screwing them in. and they aren't ions it oxidizes everything and makes hydroxyl radicals from water. extremely useful for bad smells anywhere too I would guess. If I ever have kids that will be the first thing I buy for the baby room.

I'm not too happy with this setup I have had to change so many times and its ghetto as hell just goes to show it doesnt take alot of fancy stuff to grow. I have my plant in a styrofoam ice chest haha!

this is what I am doing next but with 55 gallon rubbermaids except I am going to LST or use a SOG technique http://www.greenpassion.org/diy/225-diy-stealth-rubbermaid-growbox.html

that deal with 4 sockets I got from a second hand store for 2 bucks it went to a fan I think. I dissasembeled it though. You could probably get one from the home depot it would be great for side lighting if you screwed it to a wall or something. When it comes down to it I think low stress training with string is easier and more practical to manage. IE less micromanagment of lights.

oh yah and the Ti02 lights are supposed to work well for 4 years thats a hell of alot longer than any other odor control, and as I mentioned before they do double duty providing extra light however only like 1400 lumens compared to regular 26w (1750 lumens). I guess carbon can be renergized but hooking up an exhaust and everything seems like a pain.

That rubbermaid will have thin activated carbon filters over the intake and exhaust holes as when lights are out I want something to keep the little amount of smell down.

This is the cost of the Items I actually used.

Lights

8 – 26watt 6500k 32.00
8 – 42watt 2700k 49.70
2 - 26watt TiO2 bioizer lights off of ebay 30.00
misc fixtures hit and miss around 20.00
light timer 8.00
UV bulb 2.00 2nd hand

total
139.70

Soil and nutrients

Jiffymix potting soil 12.00
MG moisture control soil 8.00
Superthrive 11.00
10-10-10 nute (not needed but used some dilute) 8.00
pots free

total
39.00

misc crap
spray bottle 2.00
tap water free
RIU community free
various tape 10.00
electrical nuts 4.00
cords free already had

total
18.00

grand total
196.70 of stuff I actually used.

I probably spent around 300 total because I am a compulsive consumer whore. But if I get some viable seeds from a pretty good strain (i'm told), around an ounce of bud, experience, and CFL's I can use for many more grows I guess I am happy.

as you can probably tell I am bored and need to get away from home! and see my plant!

Haha, I feel you. Being away from the babies is tough.

I've only got 3 CFLs set up right now, but it looks like you've really got it done right. By the time I'm done I'm hoping to have 3 or 4 healthy females with 12 lamps on them. I'm working on building a fixture for all of those lights to hang above the plants, so I'll also need a couple on the sides of the plants.

Your superstealth Rubbermaid grow that you talked about earlier... are you talking about a big 65 gallon ScrOG? Because I've been heavily considering this as well, as an interim to getting a hydro setup with bi-weekly harvests. The stealth grow seems like it would be extremely cheap and easy to keep up with. And putting those TiO2 lights in would make it impossible to detect....

yah I was discussing with one of my other friends and he suggested SOG but I was also thinking of vegging out about 4 plants using LST in the rubbermaid. Using a paper bag to sex them all. make about 40 clones and grow those to maturity having them all in small pots while pruning to get them to grow just main colas. I think this would be the best way to maximize space and I might have another smaller rubbermaid with a LSTed mother in it to always take clones from and do a perpetual harvest in the larger flowering rubbermaid.

I was looking at aquarium fish sites and apparently you can get up to 300 gallon totes from farm supply stores.

another Idea I had was rocking the cool tube with a 200w HPS in the flowering box. It would have a passive intake and a dedicated fan to draw air out of the box through the tube. Just to maximize lumens to watts, and grow denser buds maxmizing weight in the space. however this might put the bulb too close to the plants and might fail me miserably. I have 5 months to decide though
