Puzzled on Flushing

I have a question about flushing. All of the strains I am growing are 8, 8-9, or9 weeks strains (Permafrost, WW/AK-47 Jewel, White Rhino, OG Kush, and Nepal Hash). Tueday, the 19th, will be the start of week 6 preflower. I want to flush at that point to get a full two weeks of flushing, but that would be three weeks for any that go 9 weeks. Is that too long? Being this is my first run with these strains, they may even take an additonal week, so that would be 3-4 weeks flushing. Is that too long? Or better yet, can I start flushing when trichomes are 75% cloudy/25% clear, to achieve 75% cloudy/25% amber? Any suggestions? I don't want to limit my success by starving them in their last couple weeks or taste any leftover nutes. I'm using General Hydroponics nutes/Lucas Formula if that matters.

Another note, powdery mildew, I've noticed a couple spots in the bloom tent on some fan leaves, notably the couple soil plants. The humidity is about 36% RH, temp about 75F and I have several 10" oscillating fans as well as a 14" fan on the ground pointing straight up. There are no dead spots. I have SM-90 that I use in my water. Should I use this in a foliar spray, or is H2O2 3% more effective?

Ok, not to sound crazy, but i think you are a little confused. I would guess your plants take 8 weeks or so of flowering. Now that they are six weeks old you have to start them on a flowering nutrient schedule. THEN after they have only 3 weeks left of flowering, put them on a full water diet. But i have no idea what im talking about. I'm finishing my first grow right now. I'll be putting it on a flush schedule as soon as its done drinking its full bloom nutes.

I meant almost 6 weeks after first signs of flowering during 12/12(preflower).

Here's a pic from yesterday. Hydroponic side.

Soil side. This side also has an additional two 40 watt actinic bulbs for added blue and UV. Definitely more trichomes. This side also started flowering about two days earlier.

Thanks for the quick response. So three week flushes are just fine?

I'd let them go until I saw about 20% amber trichs on the plants furtherest behind. Then flush for one week and harvest.

Seriously, I don't really know my stuff, just a first timer. Sorry if i sounded rude. I will quote jason king here for you.
"I generally recommend stopping all feeding and switching to pure water approximately one month before harvest. This timing can be shortened for indoor plants or lengthened for outdoor plants, depending on container size, the fertilizers used, the strains grown, and a number of other factors........Skipping this step is one of the main factors that just about ruins most Canadian and Dutch commercial herb."

according to a few of the gurus here they say not to flush and make sure to keep your foliage green
I've heard this too, but I can't stand nute flavored bud. How do people overcome this (outside of water curing), or do they just not care in favor of uninterrupted growth?

In most circumstances, would one week of flushing, with a possibility of two weeks depending on strain, be sufficient to remove all nute flavor?

I apologize for all the questions, I'm just confused, and like I said, I can't stand nuted bud.

Oh yeah, any opinions on the powdery mildew/mold?

yeah, i dunno bro...got a couple of 8 week strains goin myself second grow...least i think they are 8 week haha gonna start flushin 6 weeks into flowering just like you...planned on dumpin a bunch of water probably like double the size of the pot worth of water let it all run out, then just keep em on a pure water diet for the last 2 weeks but i could be wrong too High Times told me this stuff, also its better to harvest in the morning (if your light cycle starts then that is) But like i said i could be wrong to thats just what im doin.
