Pwm 0-10v led controller

I have a four cob light running on the hlg 185h c700b. I just purchased the coralux storm led controller with the 10v analog converter and it was only after ordering that I realized that the storm will not dim the light completely. It is my understanding that to get the light to dim to 0 percent I would have to use an ac relay. How would I hook up the storm controller with the relay? Growmau5 has a video that briefly goes over it but doesn’t explain much. Would really like to start incorporating a sunrise and sunset into my grow as well as the Emerson effect without all the extra timers. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated

you will need either a relay that uses 5v-10v on/off capability with proper amperage capacity 20a adequate for single branch circuit fixture. For a no electrician approach you can use one of these ->https://www.adafruit.com/product/2935

just connect your + and - from your coralux to the plus and minus of he green connector and you have a controlled device now.

When you say + and - on the coralux, do you mean I should splice into the dimmer wires that connect to the coralux? I have that same unit on the way, should the driver be plugged into always on?

the output from the coralux 10v has a positive and a ground. connect the positive to plus and ground to minus. plug into normally OFF. when pwm signal is there led turns green, otherwise led is red for off

Greengene actually messaged me about this controller, I’ll probably be ordering a hub and several controllers for my other light
I like the fact that you can use it with and without internet connection. Most similar systems needs a modded firmware with own home server.

@Randomblame when Greengenes updates you on the shipping costs would you mind posting the cost or letting me know. I'm in the same boat, ineterested in the product but not based in the US.
May I suggest you go directly to alibaba. Its only ~$15 without shipping.
Search for "amelech pwm". The first thing that comes up is what you want. 0-10v PWM controller by Shenzhen Amelech Technology Limited.
Much respect to @Greengenes707 for revealing it straight up on one of his videos instead of letting chase it down. He the man.

But if you have any question on what PLC sells...ask PLC otherwise RIU will keep attempting to ban me for putting unaltered truths and documented grows on their site. The same thing I have been doing for years before any mentioned company I am apart of.

All the info is on the site. can fit pretty much anything in a medium post office box...if it fits it ships...~$45 international. for on ub and controller a small box will work. Or go to amelesh and you know how alibaba works from FOB price to actual, and can go through there.

I've chatted with Kaya from Amelech.com last night and she says the controllers also work with Phillips Hue, Google or Alexa.
BUT,
$24 per 0-10V/PWM controller sample, she recommend it for Smart Home(2pcs. controller 48$ + 27$ dhl-shipping).
For commercial use she recommend their own updated version of HUB for $80(so 48$ + 80$=128$ for 2 controller + HUB). In addition you have to pay $31 for dhl shipping, because they send samples only via DHL.
That's almost twice as expensive as in @Greengenes707's store!
On the other hand, it is clearly too expensive for me, just to have a "remote dimming" feature.
An On/off timer is enough for me and I can do that with 5$ Sonoff's.
Hub is also not needed unless you want to have it on your own server. Than you need a rasPi with sdcard to run homeassistent.ui(15$) and an alternative firmware called tasmota which needs to be flashed on the sonoffs.(free)
First, the Sonoffs remain as they are, but if I have the time to read in Homeassistent.ui and know how it works, I'll get the necessary things and retool it into a private system.

BTW,
since the 0-10v/pwm controllers are running with Zigbee, it might well be that you can make them compatible to Homeassistent.ui as well, that would one have to try.

I came to the exact same conclusion.
Yesterday I ordered half a dozen.
They are cheap enough that just the terminals to connect the Mean Well driver to a cord makes them worth while. I'm tired of soldering on a plug.
I will use some on my household lamps too so Alexa can turn them on and off for me.

I like the idea of having something to connect to the dimmer wires. I just do not need wireless.
Although there are some projects where zigbee would be a good thing. I did a cost analysis for a landscaper needing 500-1000 intra-canopy units.
The as the professor continued his intra-canopy research for the landscaper, all the units need to be adjusted periodically. Too much to do manually.

That many zigbee units was a bit too expensive.

I did however come up with an interesting design. Are you familiar with the neoPixel RGB WS2811 controllers? They are essentially triple PWM LED drivers.

There is a Texas Instruments chip that is much better than the neoPixel driver that does the same.

My idea was to use the three outputs as PWM signals to three drivers by putting a pull up resistor on each of the three outputs.
The chips daisy chain together with no limitation for the number of chips daisy chained.

The three resistors is where the RGB LEDs would normally go.
They daisy chain by connecting pin 5 SDO to the SDI (Serial Data Input) of the next chip.
Then drive the SDI with any micro-controller. Then only one wireless controller can service any number of drivers in any localized area.

Very inexpensive (~10¢ per driver) way to extend a single PWM driver.
