I have been growing under Quantum Boards for awhile ( since Dec.25 2016 ) and have a good number of Auto harvests under my belt , but this time I plan to log a grow with daily pics and stuff.
STRAIN : Barney's Tangerine Dream ( fem seed )

Set up is a 4 gallon plastic container using Lowes super soil mix, Dr.Earth Nutes / Seaweed solution , 4 panel Quantum Board light With COBs ( 2 citizen 3500k ) power 300 w + 120 cob w in a 3x3 tent. Power may be adjusted ( dimmers ) during this grow. I may take cuttings and will top and train as it grows.

Light schedule will be 18/6 til flip .....

SETUP -

Seed was germed in a Rapid Rooter Plug in a 4 gallon of Lowe's Super Soil Mix. @CptNemo
With a 50/50 plant/garden soil base and container topped in Veg soil. Perlite was added ( 25% ) but mix was unmodified. Container soil was mist watered ( Precharge I guess ) as layered in. Portion of center scooped open for plug.

Seed germed in container ( a couple days ).
New little sprout was placed under CFL to get her started.

LEDS in general are veg KINGS, nothing touches them at w/ft

You should give the QBs a shot at 12 + inches from seed, might be surprised and save a couple of $$ on cfl replacements and no moving plants, faster growth, less time to harvest,etc ..........or not

Only reason growers used fluoros(t12,t8,t5,cfl) for veg is electrical savings back in the day vs HID, did a ok job.....cannabis (c3) is a high dli plant(40+ with no co2 supp), can take 2000umol/s from " birth".

Exactly what I will be testing soon if I can snag one lol

Its just that 3x3 is running at full plants and will chop the GSG clones in a week or so .
I don't have the space to add the tangerine yet. Once those GSG get the axe , I have to improvise for now.

I feel you bro we are all improvising and I have (2) 3x3's lol............my last auto is tying up my second flower tent to finish because the veg closet has no scrubber and she was stinking up the house BIG Time lol
