I am going to set up a side by side with multiple lights, this is not a controlled experiment by any means and the results will be GPW. (flavor will be mentioned). I have 7 2x3 scrog frames built so I was going to veg for 6 weeks under T5 then flower under the following:

1. 2 QB288 boards running at about 240 watts
2. 2 cheap Chinese blurpies at about 300 watts
3. 24 Cree XL-M2 at about 220 watts
4. 4 T5 HO at about 220 watts
5. 4 70watt CMH bulbs run vert (same footprint as other setups) for a total of about 280 watts
6 3 Vero 24s at about 250 watts
7. 250 watts of HPS

all color temps are about 3000k *I may have some 2700 XL-M2s
All the plants I grow use pretty much the same nutes (my own mixture) in 5 gal pots with coir. I have a mixture of different plant types but for the most part they have had similar yields over the past year, they usually finish in 8-10 weeks.

Due to my grow style is perpetual I will do two plants under each screen with one week apart (so this week it will be the QB boards and next week the blurpies and so on. (I also have some of the lights still in use and they should be available by the time I need them. A good amount of my seeds came from Greenpoint however I do have some of my own crossbreeds so if I mention a strain like "Child Support" don't be afraid to ask what it is.

This is for my enjoyment so lets keep it fun and see if I can get 3 grams per watt out of them Blurpies LOL

After this grow I am getting rid of my 4x4 and I'll be using only a 4x2 from now on. I will be using the Meizhi for veg and switching to the cob/qb setup for flowering. Imho the Meizhi is the perfect veg light.

Thumbs up

I've got a side by side going on right now. I could post pictures once in a while if you would like. Mine is 2 600w Meizhi lights on left side of a 4x4 and on the right side i have a single Quantum Board with 4 3590's on the corners.View attachment 3954112
I also have meizhi light, I bought it just because of the cheap price, but it works well, surprise me, like it, not just because the cheap price now lol2.jpg

I had spider mites in late veg, but I got rid of the little bastards.... sprayed them with Cat'n Jack's Dead Bug, a bacterial miticide, then 2 days later, took down my lights, and sprayed the tent and plants with a garden hose! Worked in the greenhouse, and worked in the tent! Cleaned the lights and was good to go in 30 minutes.

What's all those white specs on the First Picture ?
