Question about buying online

I'm getting ready to buy $1500 worth of equipment for a grow room, but before I decide I was wondering if I do this would it attract unwanted attention?

ie: 2 1000 watt hps lamps
1 4 ft HO T5 florescent
1 2 ft HO T5 florescent
65lb carbon filter
Mylar
Ducting
Poly
Fans, and EVERYTHING else inbtween

Only if you go out and spread the news. Otherwise I wouldnt worry about it.

If it was me I would make an order that large into several smaller orders over several weeks, otherwise UPS will be unloading a shit load of boxes at your front door at one time. Just my 2cents

damn 2 1000 watt Lamps?? why not go with a MH light than using them T5 Florecents?...i got my whole setup for a lil bit over 700$...GL on all that...

I probably would have ordered it to a friend or family members address, and then personally transport it to the grow op... but I doubt you're going to run into problems either way.

not sure how much area your covering but might want to try 600wthps instead of 1,000 just to keep ebill down.

That T5 HO puts out 20,000 lumens for $130

if u get a HPS with MH conversion bulb that MH puts out 38,000 lumens... but it's your call

Where you order from may be more of a consideration. That's a drop in the pond for a lot of the bigger grow shops out there. For some of the smaller one's, it may raise suspicion.

I would asume that the 2 1k hps are for flowering and the t5's are being used for veg cycle and making clones.

Useing a 400w hps for the veg room is overkill and there are already 2000w of hps burning in the flowering room. So the use of florescents are in order as far as i am conserned. The only change i would think about making would be to use compact florescents for the veg instead of the t5's. Here is why.
1x 400w HPS = 10x 4ft 54w t5's = 5.3x 125w compact florescent = 42x 4ft 40w t12's. If you are going to spend money on t5's you would be better off going with the CFL's because they are more bang for the buck. If price is an issue you still cant go wrong with simply useing the t12 bulbs and fixtures for the veg room.

I'm always worried about what the return address on the boxes I get delivered have on em. Getting all kinds of packages "hydroponic company" and "grow lights company" makes me paranoid. And this is only because the UPS and Fedex guy might wonder what im up to. Even more so if you live in an apartment or condo with no outdoor property. I get em shipped to the UPS store in a different town. Either that or follow the tracking numbers closely and arrange to pick them up at the UPS or Fedex shipping center so the drivers never actually get them on the truck.

my pakeges came in plain brown boxes......non of them said hydroponics on the outside of them boxes nor indicated they came from a hydro store

I went head and made the purchase already, I will order some WW, blueberry, and some PPP seeds today along with a couple other items, I need to get botanicar nuts under $100 I need to do some searching online, thanks for the comments, on the T5 note, I figured id get them because I heard they keep intenode lengh down
