Hi,
First off sorry if this sort of thing has been asked 100s of times, but I tried to find answer and failed miserably, so here goes.
Incredibly novice grower here looking for as much info as possible before attempting my first grow in regards to my planned grow box design and any advice people might want to share.
I am thinking of using:
2-18 gallon Rubbermaid containers stacked top to top for the box itself.(idimensions of each one is 25.25inch long) lined in either foil tape or mylar and painted black on outside of box)
1-4inch computer fan for heat reduction in top of box
2- holes in bottom doubling in size of ventilation hole to allow fresh air in
2- 90 degree PVC or ABS pipe on intake to reduce light coming in
1-Timer (18/6 light cycle for veg, 12/12 for flower)
1-power bar attached to bottom of Rubbermaid that will be top of box
3-y socket light adapters each housing 3-23 watt CFL 6500K "daylight bulbs" and 3-23 watt 2700K warm bulbs
Does this set up sound decent enough for a casual smokers personal stash?
Should I mount all six bulbs to the `ceiling`of box or should i individually mount them on a chain to lower/raise with the plants growth?
Should I top/FIM the plant or Scrog?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
