Question about insulating outdoor space

Whats up guys

I have a question about insulating an outdoor grow space.

if i have an outdoor box that gets hit by the sun only on one wall and the roof, if i insulate the ceiling and that specific wall will it considerably lower temps? the other walls are shaded so when its cold i would like the cool temps to penetrate those walls. am i thinking correctly? ive never had to insulate a grow.

i figure if i insulate the whole space it will only trap heat from my hps within the enclosure causing heat problems.

any input from anyone with this experience would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Good vibes to all

you need a heat source if you experience winters in your area, and you need an air conditioner and
you need a dehumidifier, c02 also if not ventilated. all aspects of your indoor atmosphere will need to be adjustable
for best results.
equally insulate every wall, moisture barrier etc

Winters arent an issue, rather a + for me. so i definately need A/C? usually without direct sunlight i maintain temps with lights on between 70-82. also ive never had to use a de-humidifier, whats the benefit? i maintain my R/H between 40-60.

i see.

well I dont know how big your box is,, how many plants you intend to grow in there or your choice of growing techniques. sounds like your rh and temps are spot on without any controls.
some of us arent so lucky with controlling our RH, we need a dehumidifier standing by to remove the excess.

right now i have 4 indoors. 11'X8'X10'. i prefer scrog indoor and out. i top/supercrop.

The only times i face troubles like i said when i get direct sunlight on hot days my temps rise to max 92-93 otherwise no issue. thats why i wondered if insulating the specific regions would benefit, but ive never insulated otherwise. usually i just pop seeds, veg indoor for about 2 weeks then begin transfer outdoors. now however i want to have more control of the space. i can insulate the whole room, i just fear that will trap my hps heat and build up higher temps than i already get. i thought about a portable A/C but i dont like the fact they recirculate air. if i insulate i will add exhaust/ intake, inline fan.

as of now im just running 2 fans for air movement.

maybe insulate outside instead of inside, dunno. maybe leave options open and see how the space reacts with a light/plants.

good luck, sounds like a fun build
