Just curious to whether or not these will work for VEG and if so flowering... I bought like 3 4-packs of these. Also, if my soil has absolutely NO nutrients in it to start with, and my babies are around 11 days old and 2 of them are starting to get some yellowing on the leaves, would it be okay to give them 1/4 strength veg nutes?

Heres the lights
Great Value CFL Light Bulb: 23 Watt (100W Equiv), 4-Pk - Wal-Mart

PLZ someone awnser this!

Thos are soft white bulbs. You want to get the 26 watt CFL's that are "Daylight", or 6500k for vegging. The 6500k lights have a blue spectrum and are perfect for vegging. When it comes time to flower change your bulbs to 2700k 42 watt CFL's. These bulbs have a red spectrum and are perfect for flowering.

As far as your 11 day old babies go. What you are experiencing is a slight Nitrogen deficiency. Add 1/8 to 1/4 strenght nutEs to your plant.

WHATEVER YOU DO....DO NOT feed more than 1/4 strenght at this point or you'll burn up your babies.

REMEMBER.... You can never have too much lighting. The more CFL'S the better your yield. Also, keep a fan on your plants and keep your plants within 1-2 inches of your CFL bulbs. It is KEY that you keep the lights as close as possible to the plant.

I hope this has helped.

You can use them for now but I'd change out to the 6500k lights ASAP as the blue spectrum is vital for growth. Best of luck!

Well, i guess im going to go to wallyworld today and pick up some 26watt 6500k cfls and switch them out with my 23w cfls and just put them around my house..... So far they have been growing up nicely, but a few have been midgets and im guessing its b/c of the lack of blue comeing out the lights.

once again thx and happy new year! :peace::mrgreen::peace:
