Hi everybody. I'm going to put up a UV-bulb for use in flowering, and I was wondering how long i should run it for each day? I have looked through some other threads, and a lot of people say a lot of different things...
I will be using an Exo Terra Reptiglo 5.0 25w - http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/compact_fluorescent_bulbs.php , It's the one midpage.
Could someone please clarify how many minutes/hours i should run this?

Thanks in advance

You can run that bulb for a few hours in the middle of the light cycle

I use http://www.htgsupply.com/products/agromax-pure-uv-t5-bulb-4-foot and if they are not 3' away you can burn your plants quickly.

You guys need to keep in mind that those 5.0 bulbs are only effective out to 12 inch's!
The 10.0 is 20 inch's.

They are not very effective for plant use!

Look at the Eye Hort deep blue UV T-5 HO's

Merc Vapor bulbs at 400w deliver a very strong UV.. care must be taken with them.

Cpl a guys use tanning bed bulbs......search for "UV" or "UVB" and use RM3 as the "posted by member" filter. Try ttystikk as the filter too.....My long posts on that are too old to hit the search....

Good luck

The ultra violet bulbs I am using are on whenever the main light source is on. Much like what happens with the sun.
