Question for new setup

Hello RIU members.

So I just bought a new house and now am working on a new setup>

What I will be running is not 100% yet as I need a bit of help.

Will be running:
8 x 8 Grow Tent
5 Gallon 10" net pots in DWC ( amounts not 100% on)
LED lights (either 2-4 not 100% on either)
Nutrients I am undecided.... but likely BPN
C02 Will be run as well
Carbon filter( size?)
Inline fan
Oscillating fans or circulation

Strains
Viper Cookies by Moxie
Chocolate Fondue by DNA

So, onto the questions.

I was thinking 24 DWC buckets as they are 12" which is 1 square foot basically.
So an 8 x 8 has 64 Square feet which makes that 2.66 square feet per plant.
Would you recommend more or less? Im looking for about 4 oz dry per plant.
I will be running SCROG with a trellis and defoliation.

Next question.
Will be running KIND K5 LED's due to the massive research Ive done on LED's and people I have spoken to on many forums.
Now with that said how many do you believe I need and which models.
I was either going to go with
K5 750 - 4 of them at an actual draw of 430watts with a total of 1720watts or so at 24"
K5 1000- 3 of them at an actual draw of 650watts with a total of 1950watts or so at 24"

Nutrients, I have used BPN and loved it, but there seems to be alot of nutrients to have to deal with.
Any other suggestions? I have tried Maxi bloom lucas as well as Flora series and was not impressed.
Prefer a simple formula that works, if not ill stick to BPN.

As for carbon filter what size would you recommend for this kind of setup?

Keep in mind I have neighbors , but my house is new construction and noise isnt too much of an issue other than the inline fans. Any way of dampening the sound?

Thanks for all the help as to my new grow.
I am coming from SoG and I did not like it. I would much rather deal with larger plant.
I am set on LED and have done extensive research on PAR of these lights compared to others.
This will be perpetual garden with 2 mothers in a mother room/veg room.

Regards, Trippy

I say go for it with the 24. You can always thin. Now why a tent if you are going to have plants outside the tent? Odor during flower? Is the room you are using going to have people in it that you don't want to know? If so then why not dedicate a room instead of using a tent and all its inherent problems? Just asking. Others will want to know as well. Sound dampening is much easier when you have room to work. Exhausting into the attic is common. But over time that humid air full of whatever will have some ill effect on most insulation and the roof decking - especially if the decking is particle board and not high-grade plywood.

Better to go into the attic and cut into the largest vent pipe there and install a "Y" and exhaust directly up that PVC vent. Or even better to do the same with the smaller toilet/bathroom vent. Who's going to be up smelling that on the roof? Easy to do with a hacksaw, the "Y" and a couple of rubber hub clamps to repair the whole thing. There's no pressure, no fluids. Suspend the system as much as possible with bungee cords. Buy huge sacks of cheap ones cheap at Harbor Freight. Too shitty to use on cycles but work fine for this.

I do have a dedicated room for the grow. I was just trying to minimize smell as containing it in a light proof tent seems like a better option as apposed to mylaring the whole room, but I have never setup a full room before due to renting.
Glad you agree on the 24 as that seems ideal. The mothers will be in a good sized closet.
As for venting I can easily hook it into a vent no problem as my dryer room as almost connected to my other room and having a T attachment is quite possible.

Its not a huge room its about 10 x 10 so I need some space to walk as well as there is a good sized closet for the moms.

Plus having a tent would also minimize any issues say if I had to have an inspector for some insurance issues or pipes etc due to my home having all rooms on the basement level.

Tent just seems the way to go, but I am open to some designs. Tent just seems like a safer bet if I ever need to take it down for some reason which I would rather not ever have to but if I ever did have to would be easier or am I mistaken? I guess setting up mylar room wound not bee to hard and covering the hole for venting would not either.
Plus would save on budget.

Thanks for the info. WIll do some research.

Do some research. I'm trying to be helpful. Others will come along soon with a lot of personal experience. It just sounds like a big hassle when you can seal a room very well and use air pressure to vent safely outside with little to no odor. Heat control is far easier in a room as well. Been there and done that.

And white paint is far cheaper than Mylar. Read on that as well.
So white paint would work just as well? Ill do some research on that.
I have a humidifier installed in my home and have vents in every ceiling going outside so that would not be an issue.
